Navy's futuristic destroyer glides past Chinese warships, docks in San Diego

What did they mean by this?
Chinese sailors on suicide watch?

"On its way into San Diego Naval Base, the Zumwalt passed the Chinese frigates Yancheng and Daqing and the oiler Tai Hu, which were docked at the Embarcadero for a port call."

>futuristic

It looks like some faggots wanted to make a futuristic boat, and instead made a fucking retarded boat that's more focused on fashion than function.

They aren't really trying to intimidate people with this fucking thing are they?

It's powered by Linux, no shit

wait why the fuck are chink navy docked at usa ? why is that allowed ?

Why do they let them build "space ports" in "argentina"

US ships dock in China too.

We aren't at war.

Nice submarine, how long can it stay underwater?

it's more sonar/radar resistant

the issue with the Zumwalt is that it tried to be modular and ended up being a mess

Maybe they'll build an island for argentina as payment.

What are those men looking at?

The bridge

looks like some Swedish cuck shed

Will probably be one of those cool ones with tunnels and stuff

>Zumwalt
Motto: Pax Propter Vim (Peace Through Power)

They're probably trying to save face after the engine broke down in the Panama Canal.

We need Trump to float a surface combatant that isn't an overengineered and grossly expensive piece of shit.

>Navy's futuristic destroyer glides past Chinese warships

So then... congratulations on not sinking by accidentally strafing a Chinese frigate?

anybody else think of this?

>billion dollar warship
>cuckshed

everything in the military is overdesigned and grossly expensive, otherwise you end up with T-34s

That ship look ugly as hell. Whose liberal arts daughter or son designed that and why the hell haven't you beat the shit out of them for mocking your country with this kind of crap?

>everything in the military is overdesigned and grossly expensive, otherwise you end up with T-34s
Lately it's been the Good Idea Fairy showing up, with "make it modular! and joint forces! and do XYZ multirole!" and it turns into a giant clusterfuck. In the past, our good shit was always much more specific and didn't try to do too much at once.

>In the past, our good shit was always much more specific and didn't try to do too much at once.

Not really, everything starts off as modular until the AF and Navy realize that their systems are not readily compatible (at least not until VTOL tech gets much better). This is how the F-111 development got so fucked. It's always been a problem.

it's the super destroyer, comming to save the motherfuckin day, YEAH!

it is made with angles to deflect sonar and radar rays, to make it stealthier

this is also why the F-117 and B-2 have odd angles, because it reflects radar waves away from it's point of origin thwarting attempts to track it
