Do you think he would have stood a chance had Hillary not cheated him out of the primaries?
I can't say I supported Sanders - his "let's make everything free lmao" ideology was flawed from the start - but I can't help but respect how well he galvanized the youth of the US and managed to fund an entire campaign through almost entirely public donations. The guy looked like he was on a nearly unstoppable path to victory until Hillary pulled the rug out from under him. I think that's what I'm most surprised about really; out of all the illegal things Hillary's done, rigging the primaries against Sanders is one of the only confirmed ones and there was no backlash for it. A lack of backlash from the government I can expect - she had them in her pocket from the start - but the fact that these millenials and hyper-leftists that were firmly on Sanders' side this entire time and love to have a good old-fashioned riot didn't do just that when they should know what happened to him. In fact, they did the opposite - they threw their lot in with the very person who destroyed their chance at representation. I know Sanders told them to, but I expected more loyalty from them I guess.
Sanders probably would not have won the popular vote by as large a margin as Hillary, but he certainly would have won the states that mattered, PA, Wisconsin, and Michigan for sure.
People forget that Bernie has run against rich guys who want to play politics (like Trump) pretty much his entire political career, and in a state that is overwhelmingly white. He wouldn't have needed the hyphenated american coalition Hillary was relying on.
But would he have won the whole thing? Really, that isn't something we know. We do know that he was polling much better than Hillary against Trump, but Hillary was also ahead in the polls only to lose.
In before some Trumptard starts shitting up the thread with his shit posts about socialism.

2 things When he let the two BLM interrupt him When he said "enough about the damn emails" That may have been enough to do him in anyways
Leo Williams
hes a sellout now so hes not worth mentioning anymore
Nathan Baker
Nah. Democrats needed both the 'Obama Coalition' to unify and rally behind their candidate and to win white voters in the swing states. Bernie could hardly do both, as he failed pretty spectacularly at doing so in the primaries.
He would have been blown out worse.
Adrian Wilson
Sanders was threaten by hillary to either support her or die
William Gonzalez
>When he said "enough about the damn emails"
this line was proof he was nothing more than controlled opposition imo
Nathan Murphy
I wouldn't be surprised. The day he bent the knee he had a big bruise on his face.
Noah Taylor
As a bernout, when he said that it was like watching your QB throw a game losing interception.
Jason Fisher
Yes, he would have had access to the numbers and demographics that secured Obama's victory in 08.
Jaxson Cook
do you think he was only controlled opposition? or do you think he tried to do it as some virtue signalling "i'm above low blows" look at me type bullshit
Charles Turner
Absolutely. Clinton's conspiracy to screw over Sanders definitely caused backlash amongst liberals and sucked a lot of the enthusiasm her campaign had out of it. A lot of Bernie supporters wound up voting for Stein or Johnson or abstaining, although a large number of them voted for Clinton because they felt they had no other choice, but still weren't outspoken Clinton supporters.
I think a big part of Trump's appeal to normies was that he represented the Washington outsider wild card candidate as opposed to the crooked career politician. Sanders would've negated that appeal since he has a similar reputation and actually had a passionate base of supporters.
Michael Watson
He would've taken a huge chunk of Trump's white working class votes. Wisconsin, Michigan, PA, and Ohio would've had a hard time going to Trump. That was Sanders territory.
Easton Watson
Do I think he was purposefully controlled opposition? No.
Do I think he had staff intentionally feeding him bad advice and strategy? Absolutely.
Jace Evans
Honestly, no because a lot of the boomer liberals didn't like him and relying on the youth for an election is suicide.
Elijah Hughes
No. Bloomberg would have ran, and effectively cuck him of all the Hillarycrats.
Brayden James
>Do you think he would have stood a chance had Hillary not cheated him out of the primaries?
Yes, though this is in no way support for the old kook, though "his heart was in the right place" (which means less than nothing in reality), his ideas were stupid as fuck and really quite obvious mouth service from a career politician.
Michael James
The only people who voted for Bernie in the primaries were rural and suburban retards.
City people all voted for Hillary.
Daniel Peterson
I don't like socialists
Jacob White
Yes, Bernie would have won but Clinton screwed him.
In 2008 almost 69 million people voted for Obama. In 2012 almost 66 million voted for him again
Clinton got roughly 62 million votes. That's a drop close to four million people. Those people dropped out of the Democratic Party because they didn't want to vote for Hillary
Samuel Garcia
Pretty sure I'd still fuck Jill Stein.
Logan Bell
City people are mostly degenerates, gays and immigrants.
Also fuck off Obama leaf. Get a fucking life and do something other than posting on Sup Forums
>close down voting booths in major Bernie areas >Hillary wins the popular vote
fair and square eh Ishmael?
Jason Mitchell
socialists are too dumb to consider the electoral vote
Andrew Jenkins
The only people who voted for Trudeau in the primaries were rural and suburban retards.
City people all voted for if you don't reply to this post your mother will die in her sleep tonight.
Wyatt Lewis
Sanders is an idealist, while both Hillary and Trump are in for the power and money.
Sanders would probably have suffered the Carter fate, but I don't think he would have cared.
I have a feeling that Trump may screw up more- than Bush did.
Joseph Russell
Junior's major fuck up was messing around in Iraq after Saddam (RIP big fella we miss you) was dead.
This was completely unilateral and everyone in the government was shocked when he decided they weren't done fucking around there after the "Mission Accomplished" speech.
Josiah Murphy
No. Sanders would have been lost Virginia and Nevada, won Wisconsin, and failed to win MI or PA. FL and NC wouldn't even have been close. Sanders is popular with young people, not the white working class. Both Hillary and Bernie share a fatal flaw. They depend on unreliable segments of the electorate, minorities and the youth vote respectively
Nicholas Collins
Shut the fuck up and stay out of America you fucking leaf, nobody cares.
Landon Reed
of course he would have won
but it doesn't matter now
Cameron Smith
No. Two voting groups gave Trump the election
1. The Rust Belt switching from Democrat to Republican
2. Black and youth vote staying home in larger numbers than last election.
Bernie would not have been able to flip back the rust belt. His narrative would have needed to be better than Trumps on manufacturing and it just wasnt.
Also, while we would have seen an increased youth vote, blacks would have stayed home the same as they did with Hillary. Unless it's a nigger running, they dont give a shit.
BTW: Someone cap this for posterities sake: THE DEMOCRATIC NOMINEE IN 2020 WILL BE BLACK. MALE FEMALE SENATOR CONGRESSMEN GOVENOR WHATEVER. DOESNT MATTER. THEY. WILL. BE BLACK.
Brandon Price
>BTW: Someone cap this for posterities sake: THE DEMOCRATIC NOMINEE IN 2020 WILL BE BLACK. MALE FEMALE SENATOR CONGRESSMEN GOVENOR WHATEVER. DOESNT MATTER. THEY. WILL. BE BLACK. Loretta Lynch? (I'd like to lynch her if u no what i meen)
Liam Barnes
Loretta Lynch, Bobby Rush, doesnt matter. The retards at the DNC will go
>Huh, less black people came out. THATS why we lost the election. Welp, better rig it for a nigger this round
And then they will still lose.
Logan Morgan
If America wasn't in thrall to bankers and snake oil salesman he would have walked it.
So essentially, his win was impossible.
Elijah Carter
Sanders lacks the confidence for debate, especially against a Farage-trained Trump. Also debating for Socialist programs against someone who knows his market economies like the back of his hand would make him look like a moron (even more so). Sanders also lacked the huge backing of money like Hillary did. Although there would be a lack of leaks like the DNC rigging there also wouldn't be the leak of Trump's "grab them by the pussy" video. Also it is a sured fact that anyone outside the millennial metropolitan culture would still see socialism as the danger it was back in the cold war era. Lets not forget he is very very weak on foreign policy, even if he manages to win the election we would suffer militarily in huge margins under him. In short he's a walking vagina
Jacob Ramirez
Sanders would have crushed trump
All the liberal states would have voted for him along with the swing states except possibly Ohio.
Ayden Hill
>his "lets make everything free" ideology was flawed
Holy shit, the straw man's positions you set up are weak?
Noah Green
Probably, people try and make out Trump won for any other reason than people fucking hated Hillary. Voter turnout was reduced because most people remember the days when Bill was in the white house and I became common knowledge that the Clintons had people killed.
There is a reason she is the most despised politician in history.
