Fake Refrigerator Photo

This photo was used in The NY Times article to show that Comet Pizza has an actual working walk-in refrigerator that they use a few doors down.

>pic related

Not sure what the food safety code is like in DC, but where I'm from (I own a restaurant) you can't store boxes of food directly on the floor.

>obviously staged

As if some place that has Hillary Clinton and Barak Obama as regular patrons has to worry about health code violations.

So are they an ordinary pizza place, or not?

And those aren't even pizza-related ingredients.

A pizza walk-in is filled with mostly dough, tomato sauce, and mozzarella cheese.

Every good 'front' is, and there is nothing ordinary about the owner.

...

That actually does looks like lots of dough in the middle. Is this an important line of inquery?

I am.curious as to.where all the homade sauce is, and whats on the left besides sour cream

I think that's what's in the buckets, it looks like dough. That doesn't look anything like the freezer picture they posted on instagram or whatever, that freezer was much bigger and had 4 cooling units on the side wall.

I dont think anyone who owns a restaurant would allow a picture like this to be published.

All the ingredients on the ground are aajor healthcode violation. Everything must be put on racks.

It's only like a 1.5pt deduction in my state to store things on the floor. You're right though, anyone who has worked in a decent food service establishment shouldn't store food on the floor (especially cold stuff).

Why does a pizza place aimed at kids need
a) Bulgarian White Cheese from distributor in Lyndhurst New Jersey, four hours away?
b) Like thirty tubs of sour cream?

Can you walk me through the claim you're making?

You are suggesting that this walk-in photo is staged. Why do they need to stage a walk-in photo? What's wrong with their actual fridge that prevents them from showing it? Are you suggesting there are children chained up in their real walk-in?

They had to cover the trap-door with something.

Theres what appears to what could melted body fat stuck to the ground. Possibly from a fuel induced ignition.

Body fat only melts like that and gets stuck to stuff when more synthetic elements are involved in its initial spark.

as a chef in a major las vegas resort.... that shit would get you shut down on the spot

I've worked at a pizza place we could only put stuff directly on the ground in the freezer, everything in the fridge strictly had to be raised

What resort? I wana eat some Sup Forums approved vegas food over my winter break.

They dont even have a freezer in this picture.

I guess comet pizza makes everything fresh on the spot.

like anything in this town what do you want to spend? if you want to drop bills you cant go wrong with atelier de robuchon, guy savoy, Bouchon, B&B, Alize

want to go cheap well i cant help you there. go off strip for good food on the cheap

Would a real restaurant let a newspaper publish evidence of such poor hygiene and food safety?

Same regulation in NZ. You cannot leave stuff directly on the floor. You gotta put them on pallets or shelves.

this was a chess move to get the place shut down and out of the media on their terms. such a simple out.

>first day working mcjob
>boss rips me a new one for placing a sealed box containing frozen dinners on the floor while restocking

How the fuck was I supposed to know. They didn't even go over that shit in training.

-things on the floor not on a shelf 6 inches off the ground
-nothing is labeled with dates
-items not in a container (peppers top right corner)
-glass bottles stored with food (pbr bottles)
-Cambro 22qt containers with out proper lids and labels
-product still in shipping containers (cardboard has a habit of transporting insects and their eggs is standard practice to take produce out and place into a plastic container)

this is enough to nearly shut a place down

not sure about DC but here in Vegas each violation is -1 point for each item. Every box, every container
-11 points the inspector makes management kick people out and pulls permit until it can be reinspected

>tfw you realize this is their move

shut it down and start up shop someplace else

>onions in a fridge

Yeah nah, that's not a refrigerator

Or shut it down and keep up the real business on the low. It draws attention away as a dirty, unkempt place of business. No one wants to go there -- at least so they want us to think.

all produce has to be kept in there so they at least have that going for them

as someone who worked in food service this picture triggers the fuck out of me. Nothing dated, shit on the floor, stuff not organized old to new, those peppers on the top right shelf that are just sitting there

its not smart and unnessicary but still nothing you can give demerits for

most likely just fake news doing a bad job of their cover up
of course comet is a working pizza place. thats how covers work. they are just stupid enough to post a pic of their dirty practices

ill just link the article to the DC area health inspectors. shit like this will usually get the health inspection moved up a bit.

Post the real one. #murderroom

...

not every restaurant is a corporate shit hole.

Heres a (you) user. Thanks.

Well yeah, that's not a fridge, nothing is in order, the floor is dirty as fuck, there are products inside that shouldn't be, and look at that fucking pipe that protruds from the motor. Can this fucking shit pass inspection for fucks sake?

well onions for example spoil fast in a refrigerator, so it makes absolutely no sense to put them there

Ok... So it'a about as tall and wide as it should but AC is in the wrong place but you can move it so whatever.
Floor is different but lets say the gave it some coating. Now roof panels went sideways not straight.
Also metal plates had a lot of visible rivets and here they are missing.

Photo from comet's instagram was made little more than 1,5 year ago.
This room was longer in use than 1,5 year and if they changed something it wouldn't be so worn out.
And one metal plate on the back is bigger but should be the same.

It's obviously not the same place.

I worked at a restaurant with a fridge just like that, we stored onions but NEVER like that, we would put them in a container with a lid.

I honestly cant help but wonder wtf is going on when i see a pic like this, its like they want to tone it all down, then stuff like this only makes it that much more weird.

>Comet Pizza
>C P

No bullshit here. Ive been on the boards for 10 years. I now work for one of the largest newspaper companies in the USA. You glorious faggots actually got pizzagate large enough for AP to write a story about it. In so doing, while it was a hit piece, they were still forced to mention other bullshit fake news like Sandy Hook.
Fuck the shills, we got this.

In all food production facilities you are not allowed to keep any consumable products on the floor. I worked in coffee lab and supplement company. Its the same everywhere.

these clearly aren't even the same room

regardless a front company doing legitimate business is how a proper fucking front company works, how does this debunk anything?

It calls out the publication for literally fake news, if they are pushing the notion the small walk-in is where the huge murderroom is.

and as a person who has worked in many establishments over many years, from barbecue joints, to pizza, to burgers, I have never seen one place store onions in the walk in because the strong smell can transfer over to delicate things like milk/cream/butter/cheese, it also kind of dries them out.

Well yeah, this particular picture screams rushed and fake as fuck. It's the kind of effect that you can't purposely do it, the only way to produce results like pic related is when saying to niggers "make this room look like a fridge"

cant be unseen

Some countries host 3rd world savages some have hygiene standards.

Nice

I work in the food industry. Yeah food, even in boxes sitting on the floor is a big no. There are peppers sitting directly on the rack in the open! I sure hope those products have dates on them too. Uncovered lettuce in the back as well. Doesnt even look very clean at all. The gas station I worked at long ago had higher standards than that, SAD!

+Chickenwings, ranch dressing

>not fallowing codes or not putting away the order right away means they fuck kids!

Look at all that lettuce
>everything but pizza

Looks more like an owl to me...

you understand that pizza just done not come premade right?
they have buckets of dough right in the picture.

Also, all those high tubs wrapped in plastic are spaghetti. Do people rave about Comet Pizza's spaghetti? I dont see any dough proofing.

Derp

Dough has active yeast. You would see the plastic ballooning. Shut up pedofag. Rope time soon.

Dem food safety standards be low/non existent.

OH&S Aus would have a field day in that chiller room.

nigga you have never did a full home made pizza.
see the wrap on top? see how it bubbles out? that is because they are letting the dough breath. it puffs up because of the yeast.

fucking plebs talking about the culinary arts. your mcjob aint shit. work at the house of prime rib and than get back to me.

ALEFANTIS YOU DISGUSTING PEDO FUCK

THIS WALKIN IS A FUCKING DISGRACE

SHUT IT DOWN

you can see it on the top ones pleb.

Why are you repeating what i said in nigger?

Doesn't the fridge stop that? It needs to be warm, no?

Robo-Owl ^^

Lazy staff STACKING PASTA. So lazy, shit is on the fucking floor. Pffft. Its not fucking dough, kiddo. Nothin' personal.

But they are not active in cold. We used to roll buns of dough and leave them in fridge.
But it makes no sense to have buckets full of it. It can go bad so they must have much traffic.

Lettuce makes no sense. Sourcream is maybe used for sauce.

THIS AWOO IS FUCKING RAW

PUT IT BACK IN THE OVEN

Thats the proofing process and it does accelerate emission of gas. It happens to a lesser degree in refrigeration. Refrigeration only slows processes.

This is exactly what im
>implying
Devils advocate: lettuce = salad
I wholely believe this shit is real and will start the ball rolling for massive changes. Why dont we kill pedos instead of low-level businessmen?

I meant cabbage. There is no lettuce. : ^)

Well if someone can request a "Hatian Special" (not on the menu) surely they need to be able to make sour kraut on the spot.... right, libs?

HANG ON!...... ZOOM IN!!!

Any FBI or CSI types here? Would be interesting to have a close-up of the child's eyes so we know what the child was seeing when this photo was taken. It is done on the TV show, "CSI" but don't know if it is possible in real life.

No. Too low-res. Looks like webcam shit almost which isnt fuckin creepy at all. You cant sample-up, generally, affordably.

There's easier ways to get dick pics.

However, the person taking the picture was aiming at or closer to the subjects right eye, looks to be leaning in.

the story is blatantly misleading but the cooler part if you read any of it says this:

>Comet’s spokesperson said the photo was taken during a visit to a restaurant Mr. Alefantis was considering leasing. Comet uses a low-slung refrigerator at Buck’s Fishing & Camping, Mr. Alefantis’s other restaurant two doors down on the same block, to store produce, cheese and proofing dough.

The cooler in the picture is nasty as fuck and a public's nightmare.

>QUICK! let's grab everything we have in the kitchen and slam it in there!

just seems odd, the access to vegetables is blocked, everything is out of boxes, shitty placements on the left side, boxes in the corridor, would be a pain in the ass to pick anything in there

Wasnt the Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives piece saying they stocked a years worth of product? Sauce, etc?

I worked at Round table for half a year, my manager would have written me up if I left the walk-in in that condition.
Also, I see the dough in the buckets bet where is the red sauce? Every pizza place has at least 2 big ass pans full of them in case of a customer surge. Why do they have cans upon cans of sour cream? White sauce uses milk. Where is the extra trays of pepperoni, meatballs, and ham? Where are the cans of olives and pinnacle?
This doesn't look like a pizza place walk-in.

Preach it, son of a pizza man.
>the only one that could ever reach me

...

Dats noodles mang

They use a lot of the same shit desu.
And I meant pineapple

By the way I've checked those boxes on the right.
Ocean Mist is some company from comieformia supplying farm products. They store their food only in CA and AZ.
Why would you order something from another side of the country instead of buying from local suppliers is beyond me.

>T. Pizza

#saveEMMA

Featured as farm-to-fresh or someshit, no-less.

Interesting. Thanks for your perspective.

Gross.

>pbr

>months pass and autistic retard right wingers on Sup Forums and leddit don't find any evidence of an elite secret child porn ring

>but would you look at how they incorrectly store their ingredients! This is clearly a false flag!

>well we didn't find any evidence of child trafficking but we managed to reduce their hygiene rating by 1.5 points xDDD

Nu/pol/ is fucking gay, it's a lot of retards from /x/, infowars.com, and lie iq racists from stormfront

Sad!

delet this

Luigi, have you ever experienced a hard boot in your ass?
Its a question on my midterm.
