The purpose of this thread is to save the lives of those who populate such places. As the incident in Oakland has shown, these dens of ill repute are often decrepit, hazardous, and in violation of city ordinances. Loving this. I grew up in these sorts of DIY punk environments and watched them morph into snakepits of faux-edgy trash. Honestly the Bush era provided for some genuine angst and lots of good (well, some) music came out of it. Watching these people essentially become vanguards of the state when the liberals took power was embarrassing on so many levels. THATS when they should have embraced our imagery, the same that Sid Vicious used, honest iconography of rebellion. Instead, they morphed into prudes way worse than the "moral majority" we despised in the early 2000s.

It's not really funny as it wastes firemen's time. Also, the music venue was actually originally about to be condemned but a local guy bought it and has done massive renovations. It's a hundred year old building and he's done great work with it.
I could only imagine someone here reading that "was going to be condemned in 1997", stopping there and going and filing a report. I don't know much about the bike shop other than it looks nice.
