As a geology graduate, it should be in the nigger tier. Our jobs are tied in with cyclical industries (O&G, commodities), so if oil is down (as it is down), and if commodities are down (as many are now), then youre shit out of luck, and have to resort to the environmental industry which pays absolute dog shit.

so now Im doing nursing because ill actually have a job for as long as I live, and have near limitless choices in career path and location. Its pretty based.

Price of oil is currently down, commoddities are also down. Which leaves the environmental industry as the next biggest. Since so many p.engineers and mudlogging/MWD faggots with BS in geology degrees are unemployed, there is incredible competition for the jobs in the environmental industry. yes yes the major was fun, field camp as fun for the 6 weeks we fucked around in montana, and yes the classes are somewhat easy compared to engineering....but so the fuck what? Your return on investment in this degree is very poor compared to accounting/finance/engineering. If I were you, id finish the degree and instantly look at doing a masters in, say, an engineering discipline.
