Their biggest TV networks license a lot of stuff from the West. You'll see the same formats of late night shows/comedy shows/lots of "competitions"/etc.
Their mainstream music is okay, but feels like a bootleg Western rip-off most of the time. Personally, I enjoy watching their "pop-music" videos which could be re-classified as softcore porn.
They also have some good documentaries about all sorts of things from russian lit. to world history, and it's interesting to see how history is presented from their point of view.

A lot of us don't watch it - much the same reasons as US. Cable/Broadcast is a dying industry.
News are more subtle and informative in their propagandist efforts and are actually quite good when covering non-political issues.
Comedy is a mixed bag, some shit's amusing some utter crap.
They produce a decent series every now and then, but most of those are crap. There is a lot of foreign shows being brought in as a consiquence either as ripoffs or as translations.
Films are good, generally, but few and far in between.
Reality TV is reality TV. Shit as everywhere.

For example if Ukraine is discussed, there is an actual Ukrainian kosher Nazi in the studio, genuinely retarded and fresh from the Ukraine. Yes he is one against several people but there is at least one representative of the opposing view. There is one liberal American journalist that is a regular on their shows for example.
I have never seen an actual Russian who actually holds the majority mainstream view in Russia and unapologetically defends it to be invited on any talk show on US TV when Russia is discussed.
