I didn't vote because I didn't care for any of the candidates. That being said, I noticed how absolutely insane the resistance to Trump was from all sides immediately. I don't believe the Russian hack angle. Looking at everything that has been going on in the world with all of the propaganda and scandals I can't help but think there is another reason they are scared of him. He is the only true outsider ever elected president having held no office prior. That makes me think there is something he is going to learn about as he takes office and they are going into hyperdrive to stop it. I think they fear he will expose a gigantic scandal of earth shattering proportions. They are desperate to maintain their elite system. Because we all know that Trump is not stable. It's not concerning at all. The parties nominate people to be electors based on their loyalty to the party. The odds of enough electors voting for the other party is practically zero.

In the past, when we had faithless electors, they would vote for someone else from within their party. For example, one of the electors from Texas is voting for John Kasich. We've never had a scenario where an elector changed political parties.
