Isn't that from some dreadful Jessica Biel movie?

Nah that's just the thumb nail of the video, but yeah the thumbnail is.

It is.

My father worked on it in the early 90s at Lockheed.

Father in law was an ATC and swears they tracked something at mach-ungodly speed one night. Like ludicrous speed, in and out of their airspace very quickly.

My dad worked at Nintendo in the 90s

Can you tell me anymore? This thing sounds otherworldly.

It's real. My dad worked at Avro Canada in the 60s. The US bought their plans for it.

Also, I don't know if the Aurora is currently scram-jetting across the sky, but the beast in pic-related comes at courtesy of the 1960s at Mach 3+.

Foolish to think we don't have something much faster available now.

How big is is his cock though?

about this big

But why would NASA still be dicking around with the X-43 if we already got an operational scram jet?

nah

>faster than blackbird
those would be called "satellites"

TR-3B

delet this

Yep
the scram jet is from the 80's
SR-71 us from the 60's
We anti gravity niggas now.

So what's the endgame if the US has got some of these flying around?

You don't always just want to reveal everything you have to the public, politics is like an extremely complicated 87-dimensional version of Poker, or Age of Empires II

Doesn't change much, if SHTF they'll need a police state, and these things can't march around and enforce curfew or anything

MY dad is lockheed, ayy lmaos are real.

Operational =/= functionally practical. Scam jets don't function below a certain speed which means any plane that has them either needs a secondary propulsion or needs to be towed to functional speed.

the SR-71 had a hybrid Turbo-Ramjet Engine, so would it be reasonable to assume that an aircraft by now had been developed with a hybrid turbo-(ramjet)-scramjet engine?

Satellites are in fixed orbits and can't be moved. If you want pictures you might have to wait a couple hours for them to get overhead. If there was a way to get pictures faster, then they'd want it.

Yea its real.

My dad actually helped invent it back when i was a kid

they kept all the other crazy aircraft classified for a while so if they do and also dont even have a final product, who knows?

Any extremely fast aircraft which could be used for surveillance first of all would take longer to deploy and get to the place you wanted to take pictures of considering how many satellites are in orbit and how long they take to orbit, and secondly would be detectable by radar and able to be shot down with SAMs unlike a satellite

underappreciated.

These are not for taking pictures.
I remember reading it would be used for rapid troop deployment.
Boots on the ground any where in a couple of hours.

This user is not making that up. My dad used to work in a lab that invented his dad.

Thats funny, I masturbate into a sock on accusation.

My whole family works for Northrup/Grumman I had a ton of pins from the first b-2 flight in the 80s or early 90s I forget.

Family says they have amazing shit built already that won't ever be revealed unless national security is legitimately threatened. Top Secret scary shit was their exact wording.

The Green Lady.

i mean like yeah they can say there's amazing shit but even without vague specifics it sounds bullshit

/k/ would be a better board to post this on. They sort of have better knowledge on the subject of aircraft.

>Any extremely fast aircraft which could be used for surveillance first of all would take longer to deploy and get to the place you wanted to take pictures of considering how many satellites are in orbit and how long they take to orbit

Not if it's EXTREMELY fast.

>secondly would be detectable by radar and able to be shot down with SAMs unlike a satellite

lol, no. If it's high enough that the air friction from moving at mach 24 isn't melting it, then its waaay outside the range of SAMs. Plus your SAM would have to move faster than the plane, for long enough to catch up to it from a dead stop. You'd need to put an explosive on a Saturn V

Yeah I guess they could have just been humoring me because I was an airplane nut at the time.

I don't know, my family doesn't have that type of humor and don't really say a lot. Our family gatherings are dull except for trivia games and my family was too smart and not excited enough for family feud so weren't on the show.

Who knows

> Mach 24
> achievable in the amount of time you'd be launching something to another place on the earth
LOL, Scramjets don't speedcap at anything near that, 8-10 is your best bet before they can't get anything more and rockets are needed after that

How exactly would this work? I'm curious. Does it create electric fields which repel against others to give some kind of upward floating thrust?

2 counter rotating supercontuctors with move gravitons.
esotericscience.com/antigravity.aspx

>181 KB
that's crazy because my dad must have been your dad's dad. he worked in at a dad fabrication plant and probably just dadded up your dad real wick

So does this imply gravity is electrical in nature, since it can interact with magnetic fields created by currents?

As in not just something that occurs due to mass interacting with spacetime.

Thats the entire point of a unified field theory.
figure that math out and you will be bigger than Einstein.

>assuming I meant literally mach 24 and didn't just chose an arbitrary number

Point still stands. You cant shoot it down if its moving fast enough without needing to keep a Falcon Heavy or something just sitting around fueled up at all times

Thanks for the article, let's just say, I have an interest ;)

Probably, or something similar.

We don't retire aircraft unless they have a replacement

>We don't retire aircraft unless they have a replacement

I wish that were true

youtube.com/watch?v=mxoaAHlC37I
easy experiment you can do

The a-10 isn't retired is it?

I don't get it. She of this supposed black project tech is so earth shattering that we can "bring ET home" but we don't seem to be using any of it? is there some space war going n secretly? where is this technology going?

yeah it is, the only operational ones left in the US are used for meteorological research purposes

Resonation is the key they're missing.

not yet, give it 20 years and 50 billion dollars

...

Or dropped from orbit.

history indicates we always have some super spoopy black project hidden away

probably not. if it were why would Barry Soetoro fuck up killing bin laden as bad as ze did?

A-10 is obsolete. Slow as fuck and extremely vulnerable to AA. We don't need dedicated tank killers anymore. If we want a pure CAS airframe we have cheaper options. People just like it because brrrrrt

...

Will have to try that out for myself

...

chekkked

was it transponding?

You can't make a hybrid scramjet, scramjets are just conveniently shaped pipes, most that can be done is having an auxiliary engine that gets it up to speed.

I don't know if the Aurora is real, but there is a high probability there exist secret military planes, especially spy planes.

If you let people know about your spy plane, eventually your enemies will find info about it and create way to detect it, so it makes sense to keep it a secret.

Electrostatic resonation in magnetic containment (think tokamak)

Who remembers them in "Command and Conquer Generals: Zero Hour"?

Yes we already definitely have developed a 'next gen' spy plane. PRoblem is.. it's easier to develop better optics and ship it into space than to develop a plane. Remember that the plane has issues with being radar visible(it's IMPOSSIBLE to be 100% invisible to radar, just reducing and scattering your cross section). Satellites? Fuck, they are plausible deniability because they have to orbit in a constellation.

In short, we did indeed develop a new plane, it is not needed because satellites are better.

Compartmentalized

This is truth, there's a ton of shit that has been developed and we won't know for several decades more. Like I said before, not all of it is ACTUALLY useful though.

I've seen more papers on just that.
2 ceramic disks tuned perfectly to resonate with each other and it amplifies it.s
Any scientist who makes breakthroughs goes to work for them and we never hear about it.

ATC here.

I'm not allowed to talk about some of the stuff that goes on in my airspace, and I would be worried about my safety even if I posted about it from Cambodia, on an anonymous SIM.

We have some pretty cool shit, but sadly it won't ever be used because it is too expensive to lose.

Technology testbed is all they are. Lots of the technology is unbelievably cool, but is also not practical in realistic conditions.

I remember those shits.

Probably. Not sure something would want to be that big. Looks like a beefed up sr71 + f117

Oh shit that sounds badass that would explain the size then

No it isnt real.

Material and engineering solutions for this shit just do not exist.
Existing prototypes of SCRAM jet can only work for a few minutes (less than ten) and are getting literally destroyed with air at such speeds.

Also it needs to be launsed from some other planes because it suits down at subsonic speeds.

Also how the fuck you land at such speeds?

This shit may in future work for missiles but nobody made or is going to make a SCRAM jet fighter. And nobody fucking needs it either, its better to go slower but actually have some range and payload.

The.aerospace engineer.

Lambright here.

Think of Arora like a new USAF of space.

It's a group of planes, not one.

We have the sr-75 which will piggyback another plane into orbit.

We have the Triangle. tr-3b anti-gravity device.
Google SR-75 watch some videos.

Watch this also.

youtube.com/watch?v=OJz0mm8cSt4

That was an amazing game. It's what I looked forward to playing when I got home from 4th grade.

Is there any movies Jessica Biel is in that is actually good? I think it's her that ruins all the movies she's in. A-Team should of been good ,but I think she ruined it

seconding.
Also aurora is essentially too big to hide, in physical size, project manpower, and funding. Something would have leaked by now.

There might be some weird ass things scooting around the sky around EAFB but that's the norm and usually it's nothing close to an operational aircraft.

t. aero engineer

Fucking annoying little bastards.

Technically a Ramjet is a pipe too which just injects fuel, the J58 (SR-71 engine) was a hybrid turbojet-ramjet engine that worked so I was just wondering if it was possible

ramjets slow the internal airflow down to subsonic speeds so you can make the internal geometry of the inlet and combustion region more complicated. scramjets have to stay supersonic all the way through so you're really really limited with your design.

On my flight to Hawaii. I spoke to an older flight attendant and she and I were shooting the shit and I asked her if she'd ever been in a scary flight situation. She said that she was on a plane when 9/11 happened with some higher up military guys and some weird ships "like nothing I've ever seen, it was horrifying" came beside the plane to escort them to the ground and the guy basically told everyone on the plane to keep their mouths shut.

I always wonder what she could've saw that spooked her that much.

kek at the actual weather ballot being labeled swamp gas.

NASA =/= the military. they develop technology for civilian uses. the military does not share its secrets with NASA.

Man is from center.

...

Center Man is Holy.

...sooooo USSTRATCOM is funding university research into teaching storks to speak in a generic american vernacular?

Such an amazing project. It was on such a tight budget that the plane had no fly-by-wire code: it is flown and stabilized only by the pilot's inputs.

>Satellites are in fixed orbits and can't be moved
Satellites are re-targetable and have been for decades.

That's one reason for no longer needing aircraft as much - new satellites can be effectively piloted.

Is there any possibility whatsoever that you could have a normal-ish self-powered jet design which could function at all (not saying efficiently) for supersonic combustion?

Hasn't Lockheed Martin stated that they're working on an SR-72 which can fly at up to Mach 6? What type of propulsion would it even use? I don't think ramjets can get up to those veolocities

the tallest birds, tallest grass, tallest people, tallest brains, and tallest accent are all from the center

Tallest people are in Nebraska? LOL no way, average is like 5'9 or 5'10 here, go to Minnesota and there are places where 6'2 is the norm.
t. Nebraskan

stealth was a dope movie

100/100

The most supreme men are from the center. That's why it's called the Nibiru Sky. It was established to advance the continent ages ago by the Ents of the nibiru patriarchal parochialism.

>ludicrous speed
I think I know what it was, user.

>Top Secret scary shit was their exact wording.
^^^ This. Lol.
