Are mobile homes a "culture"? You could own one outright for the cost of a medium end vehicle. Are they not (((profitable))) enough?
Or is it the tornado meme?

With the way things are going now it's probably wise for a good chunk of the population to be buying these kinds of homes.
They are less cost-effective than you would think. The rate for parking them at a trailer park usually exceeds the monthly rent for a small house.
was not aware the lot/association fee would be cost prohibitive.
But how do you react to a person who says they live in a trailer park?
I've never seen one for more than $20/day. Either way, that's cheaper than monthly rent on a house or apartment.
They're either poor mexicans, meth heads, sex offenders, or people who have just been released from prison. At least that's my experience with the 3 trailer parks I've been to.
Also old fuckers who never saved and now have to live on $1500 per month.
Incorrect: I was paying about $550 for my last apartment (700 sq ft, good neighborhood, no crime)
what about meth chicks who give great gum jobs?
$20 a day
~30 days a month
That's $600 a month. On top of the cost of the mobile home itself.
That's equal to if not more than many mortgage prices if you have decent credit at all.
And the mortgage comes with some amount of land ownership as well.
No one invited you, leaf.
Mobile homes are pretty expensive. Why not just buy cheap land a build a house?
My father built a warehouse in our backyard when we used to live in central illinois. It was decently sized (around 1400 square feet, 18 feet tall). Only took a summer or so.
Instead of jacking off and playing League of Legends, you could save $10-20K a year, and have a house in 1-2 years.

Owning a mobile home park is an excellent investment. That being said, ive lived in a few and they are better than an apartment depending on location. The gap between you and your neighbors is priceless.
$600 is usually enough to get you into some sort of an apartment where you aren't sacked with payments a depreciating asset on a piece of land you don't own, along with no longer being responsible for maintenance issue.
Trailers, in a trailer park, are for illegals and degenerates that can not get a lease.
maybe living out of an rv? anyone?
/thread
Mobile home=Glorified Covered Wagon
...
I have looked into this.
Apparently the cost of getting a livable RV is high, so you would end up living in a van...which inconveniences everything from showering to food storage unless you drop some cash converting the thing.
Also, parking is an issue since you have to keep moving around/finding new Walmarts.
Anyone have any wisdom as to a good balance between bare minimum roof over my head/convenience?
>$20 a day
Unless you're living in a major city it's not hard to find a decent apartment or even small house for less than $500 a month. And if you do live in a big city, you'll be paying $30-50 a day to park your trailer anyway. Those lots tend to expensive.
You honestly won't end up saving very much money.
