The electoral college isn't retarded enough to try to overthrow Trump. The civil war would be swift and relatively casualty free. It would accomplish nothing but allow an angry redneck mob to roll some heads down Capital Hill. Trump would probably be able to frame the college's actions as an illegal coup and maintain legitimacy for his government from his twitter alone.

I'd be perfectly happy with a military only government.

The state of emergency would only last a year while another election is held. Maybe less.
