I feel some real deep down sympathy for Obama . Always had Americans best interests in mind and republicans were set to fuck him ovrr since day one . Obama made Americans feel good and confident about being Americans after the disaster of George w bush president .

Obama really tried his best to work with republicans and they constantly smeared him as an incompetent boogeyman socialist when he was more of a pragmatic centrist . He tried his best to represent all Americans and had to tread lightly on being a super liberal because he didn't want to be labeled as some wacky uppity black president .

Truth be told , Obama was a really articulate and well composed president who helped Americans through one of the greatest financial crisis since the Great Depression . he was a well composed and thought out complex man .

The housing bubble was caused by Democrats wanting to force banks to make loans to poor minorities. The CRA required banks to demonstrate that they were making mortgage loans to "underserved communities". This was a political ploy so these politicians could say they were putting these people into houses. But this meant giving loans to people that were bad credit risks. To keep the banks from saying "fuck off", they were able to pass these loans to GSEs. Which essentially incentivised the practice of making risky loans. If a bank didn't do this, they would have community organizers (including Obama himself before he was president) protesting in their lobby. The path of least resistance was to play along and pass off the loan to the GSE. Any attempt to rein this in was met with accusations of "racism". But even Bush's FY02 budget warned this collapse would occur. And because it collapsed under Bush's term, the libtards pointed at him when they were the actual cause.
