Because if a child really was allowed to speak without having a filter of women interpreting for them and "defending their rights" then children would choose to have sex with adults as well as do a whole lot of other things.
They would also act more mature instead of being forced to adhere to a status quo of the lowest common denominator. Children want to grow up but they are not allowed to because their parents (usually women) forbid it, they forbid many of life's wonders, experiences and pleasures, especially freedom.
