I'm not sure. I went there a year ago on a study abroad trip. I'm not familiar with German fire code, but I can't imagine it's up to code. It seemed packed way over capacity, no exit signs, sketchy construction, etc. They also serve shitty vegan "food" there over some grimy counter in the back corner, so it wouldn't surprise me if they don't have whatever licensure is required for a food service establishment.

As an user about to graduate with a Safety Management degree, I have several things to say about that building.
1: Those outside fire escapes look shady as fuck. Check that shit out. 2: It looks like other than the two outside fire escapes, there is only one main entrance to the upstairs sections (at least from this view. 3: I can grantee you all that just by looking at the outside of that building, there is a very high chance that there is no fire suppression system, and if there is one, it probably isn't even turned on.

How about this idea for a start-up: create a fire safety consulting agency. Basically message these keks saying "oy vey I heard your DIY space got shut down because of fire hazards, but our professional team of fire hazard assessment specialists can set everything straight for a small fee of X000 shekels. We take a 30% upfront deposit" then take their money and do nothing. I mean I know they're broke as fuck, but there are some trust-fund idiots among them who can pay out.
