Though I like tritium I`d probably rather have a good casio

I don`t know how big this watch might look, but it certainly provide good featured.

I'm thinking of buying a Citizen Attesa for my birthday in January.

Expensive watches are a Jew cash grab. It just has to tell the time.
You want to wear jewellery, get a sex change and call yourself Stephanie

casio w-86
anything more expensive is not worth it for me because i break everything

features*

and pic related seems to be a good simple affordable watch

Rate mine

Consider a gshock like You cant destroy a rangeman or mudman.

I have a phone.

Honestly wearing a watch in this day and age has become a numale thing, just like the beard. Sad but true. Only faggots wear watches now.

now for some faggot to come in here and say REAL MEN wear watches

Its true. There is no occupation where a watch could be better substitutted with a phone.

got this

i have an old g-shock/mudman type watch but i prefer the w86 in the end because its quite flat and out the way it doesnt snag on anything, i am gonna see how long i can run it for since it was £5

Mine I used to wear in the military.
Its beat to hell and back tho

Fuck this off topic lifestyle shit.

Go roll up a copy of GQ and shove it up your arse

nice

If you can't estimate the time by looking at the sun. You aren't a real man.

Thought about those, but what i read about their water resistance wasnt flattering.
This is actually a pretty helpful thread. Thanks for bumping it though.

OP, fuck off to some consumerist defenerate trendie website.

this threas should be removed.

normies get out etc.

>he's too poor to afford a watch so he burns his retina by staring at the big firey jew

I own a Timex Expedition.
its simple and looks nice, plus, it has the outdoorsy feel to it without being too in your face

this.

if you don't collect watches and/or cars then you are not a man yet.

Also: why are the Mountain Jews apparently the best at making watches? Why is it always "GUYS THE SWISS MADE THIS SO YOU KNOW ITS GOOD!"

Rolex OP 39, get with mechanical or gtfo

>he pays money for the comfortable and practical wrist mounted jew instead of looking at the sun for free

Hi

Ball, nice. Tritium lume?

...

Pleb

if you're going more than 50 meters maybe but even the f91 goes to 30 meters i have been wearing it constantly for a few years now just fine and its had concrete and what not all over it

German watches made in the 1940s by Limit of Switzerland for the NSDAP.

1/10 breitling wannabies

...

Yep. I thought the salesman was just selling some shitty feature when he talked about the gas tubes in the face and how great they are at night but god damn I would never go back.

The site doesn't exaggerate how bright they are at night when you hit the little moon icon:

Casio F-105 calling in

Nowadays Switzerland is the only country to have the infrastructure to make them.
The industry took a very, incredibly hard hit when quartz was invented. It effectively killed all French and german watch manufacturer.
When the hype of having "über precise watch for cheap" died off, Swizz manufacturers were the only one left to make high end mechanical watches to a much smaller market (the rich).

Hence why they're expensive and quality.
But historically Switzerland was one of many actors. France and the UK were imo much more influential than Switzerland, with the honorable mention of the Netherland for Christian Huygens.

That pussy's gonna suck you in

Grand Seiko hi beat GMT

>he doesnt take the advantage of the statistically proven greater punctuality and timekeeping skills of that of someone who wears a wristwatch, and furthering himself to becoming a better man
>instead chooses to believe in the jewish jew

That's fiyah. I like the GS it's just hard to spend that much on a seiko even if they are god-tier

There is literally nothing wrong with quartz movements.

It just so happens that a great deal of shit watches have quartz movements.

I have a Junker dress watch

For outdoor activities my vostok and shturmanskie are made like AKs durable as fuck

>he adheres to the nwo timekeeping schedule that keeps him enslaved to occupy his day in servitude instead of living free with the sun and moon as his guide
>the make him pay for the privilege

Received one as a gift from my mother. Still prefer mechanical though desu.

Might get an f91w as an interim watch for shits and giggles then.

Huh, thanks for the history lesson, Frenchbro. I didn't know that.

I'm wearing that one right now

there are people in guantanamo right now who were put there for taking an f91 on a plane

Quick question

I inherited an 80s omega speed master professional but the hetalite glass is scratched

Is there any way to repair the glass or do I have to get it changed?

It's a real shame. I like Seiko and this seem to be a good quality watch but fucking hell for 7k you could get a good Omega de ville if you look hard enough.
No there isn't indeed. Quartz are incredibly accurate (much more than any mechanical watch would ever dream of)and essentially killed low end mechanical watches (which was a thing in the past, with even more terrible accuracy).
Now the focus isn't on accuracy anymore.
Clockmaking history is incredibly interesting and is perhaps the most ingenious thing europeans ever did. This is one of the reason why Europe was so great at navigating the seas.

You could get some sort of filling the damage would still be there but not noticeable, find a good watchsmith or go on watch forum

Hamilton Khaki King, my favorite. Love military dials. Got 3 watches in the 200€ range. Not many with military dial and good size (not too big).

Have three cars and several watches but I don't try to buy a pint of milk at a jewellery store
This is not pol related. Go fuck yourself

>hating on Omega
it is a good watch

this watch is honestly super comfy

>only wearing one watch
step it up plebs

Thank you

I suppose changing the glass costs around 300?

nice, is the compass is acurate?

I ordered mine from Japan when the exchange rate was really good. No tax and no import duty either.

Sux 2b euro

Casio terrorist watch because fuck spending money on a watch

Hesalites are quite rare nowadays. It may get a bit expensive depending on the model and form of the glass.
But one in a good condition will improve its value a lot if you plan to sell it. The fact that it's a novelty is great for haggling as well.
Do try some plastic repair paste see how it looks

LMAO 4WATCH!1

>How to find sour grape poorfags in one image

I'm no watch expert but it could be able that, depending on the company doing it, You'd be better off getting it filled and buffed

ebay.com/itm/Fashion-Boys-Girls-Sport-Watch-Students-LCD-Time-Electronic-Digital-Wrist-Watch-/381551894035

I wear this one in black. No complaints. I bought two backups at the same time but the original has been going for 3 months now with no issue.

Toothpaste.

hesalite is designed to be buffed ya goob.

buy some polywatch and spend 15 minutes and it looks brand new.

F91-W. I love this watch, use all its functions for cooking, jogging, and as an alarm (although I sometimes sleep through it). Cheap, durable, and comfortable on your wrist. I used to have a G-shock, but I find them too bulky.

Nah i think we'll keep going. This is better than he watch threads on Sup Forums.

...

I'm looking for a new watch as my old shitty watch broke. I must say that this one looks dope af

Falling for the Jew trick of time.

Is iit /ourwatch/?

My favorite, which I still need to get fixed, is a Hamilton QED II, which was my grandfather's. Daily driver is a Casio calculator watch (used to have the gold variant until kids broke it), or some Citizen solar watch

Not a wristwatch.

A German WWI pocket watch.
>hurr durr autist

I don't give a fuck, I love pocket watches.

>Clockmaking history is incredibly interesting and is perhaps the most ingenious thing europeans ever did. This is one of the reason why Europe was so great at navigating the seas.
Fuck that's interesting. I might have some new reading material/hobby to keep me busy over the holidays. I've always been fascinated by watches. Pocket watches and wrist watches. Maybe I got it from my dad. He always had clocks and pocket watches and shit. His dad actually made him a grandfather clock that is still in my dad's living room, ticking away. My grandpa made the body of the clock. He always made stuff out of wood. He bought the inner clock workings and shit that he put inside the empty case he made.

I remember the first time my dad let me pull the chains to raise the weights. Still a fond memory of mine because that clock was something us kids weren't allowed to go by because kids are retarded and would break the glass or do something else stupid.

Anyway, clocks and watches and shit are really interesting to me.

Thx senpaitachi

Top kek Sup Forums has a /wt/ now

Pic related is my only automatic

I want to buy a nomos. is it good?

I read in various places online that luminox has terribly quality control issues, even by the standards of shit tier Timex. Luminoxes fall apart, are mechanically shit, not well sealed etc. I'd buy one if I thought it would be as tough as they claim to be. Navy SEAL tier my ass.

How do I repair the hand that fell off the alarm dial on my Seiko? It was passed down from my father. I have to get the battery changed.

In order to fix this does this mean the watch will not be water proof anymore?

I bought this watch set recently [spoiler]from Wal-Mart[spoiler]

If you want something with significant horological value and beautiful movements for relatively cheap you can find vintage American railroad watches on ebay for only a $100-$300 easy (more if you want a particularly high end watch).

It's actually amazing what you can buy simply because no one fucking wears pocket watches anymore and the American watchmaking industry is dead so some really lovely shit can be got for hardly anything.

Sorry man but damn those are ugly

If you treat them right, yeah.

If I was in the market for another it'd probably be a minimatik

...

>falling for the Time meme
(You) all took the blue pill.

How is that an improvement over carrying a phone in your pocket?

?? Anyone, I can never get an answer from anyone on this

The hand is still in the watch, look at the red second hand and it's just hanging out 8 o'clock mark

Clockmaking was the jewelry of its time. For many centuries after its inception (until Breguet came around and made them more affordable) it was purely for very rich merchants and nobles/royalty. A lot of care was put. And then during the XVIIth century scientists took an interest in them and we saw the rise of scientific clocks which were a marvel of engineering for the time.
You just have to put it back on it's original position (reset the alarm or wait for it to ring) and push it, trying to get it parallel to the dial gentlty.
Yeah unless you lubricate the joints yourself/change them it probably won't. You'll probably won't have the tools to correctly screw the back as well.
It'll be really cheap for a watchmaker to make it (probably less than 30$ with the battery change)

I like that they are german and not swiss. unfortunately it seems i have to go to Glashutte to buy one.

Your tits are nice.

Thanks user, so is it best to take it to a jewelry specialist who works on watches?

>You need numbers from 13 to 24
Watch for retards

I often forget what day it is, sometimes what year it is and how old I am. Also it can store passwords, but I don't need that.

Also does that mean I have to remove the glass in order to do it or go in from the back? I'm afraid I'll break something.

Time is real.
