"It turns out that the layering is proof that his birth certificate is real. The layering occurs when it is scanned as OCR. What happens is that the OCR software tries to determine what can be searchable text and what can't. So it separates what is dark from what is less dark. If you view the layers you will see where the edges of the text is lighter and does not associate with the darker pen stroke. If it were a fake you would not have the layering. If you notice you will see that what is under a layer exactly matches what is over it, except that what is under is white (because it was removed to the upper layer). If this were a fake you would not see that effect.So the only thing fake here is this guy trying to "proove" something with his spin because he thinks you will suck in."

It doesn't matter what OCR software does because it shouldn't be modifying the original. The point of OCR is to get text from a scan, not to modify a scan. And why would you even scan it with any sort of OCR to begin with?

Yes, the dark ink areas are digitally created. A valid analysis is that they aren't multi-color/pixelated. What this guy failed to see is that the white/green borders of these letters ARE multi-colored/pixelated. These borders were not digitally created.

Sheriff Joe Arpaio claimed that after his video editing friend rotated Johannas BC few degrees, angles of Date Stamps were exactly the same. On this picture I rotated both (not just one) certificates so that they are perfectly horizontal.

This one turns out a bit harder to prove or disprove.

I tried my best to determine angle of Time Stamps as accurate as possible, but this is very hard due to inconsistent characters because scans are low resolution. I tired with wide transparent lines on top/bottom and in the middle, trying to achieve consistent coverage of characters, but you can rotate those lines few degrees and it still looks relatively accurate.

Best I can say is that angle is too hard to determine with enough precision to claim that angles are exactly the same. Which in a way disproves Arpaios claim that they are the same.

What we can see is that both stamps on Obamas certificate are at lower angle (if both BC are horizontally aligned).

It is possible that forger didnt align both documents perfectly, so in next image I will try to rotate Obamas certificate in a way that stamps angles will be as close as possible.

For this to be true those, lets call them bundles, ("square", "X", and "o.") should be same on Johannas certificate and on Obamas certificate (both of them).
If two bundles are different Arpaios claim is wrong.

tl;dr Jihannas X and Obamas first X are vertically misaligned.
Obamas first and second X are horizontally misaligned (and position of o is different).
This are two obvious differences in 3 elements that should be the same if his claim would be true.

I looked at it a bit more.
And yes I rotated both documents so that lines in table are perfectly horizontal. I fixed this in this image.

This picture shows result if documents are rotated in a way that angles of timestamps are as close as possible. (This causes lines in table not to be parallel)

This Point Of Forgery turns out a bit harder to prove or disprove.

Just looking at timestamps angles do look very close. Arpaio didnt mention how close they need to be to still look parallel.
Since timestamp is quite short and all numbers arent perfectly aligned (and due to bad scan) angle can vary for cca 0.5° and it still looks like angle is the same.

Arpaios claims that they are exactly the same and avoids any real numbers about tolerances or odds that two stamps are in those tolerances. He just says that if human factor is involved its impossible for angles (only angles are the same, position is different) to be exactly the same.
In 5 years his team of experts should analyze angles at decent number of documents stamped by same person and figure out how often it happens that two documents have two stamps at same angle.

tl;dr Angles look same with ~0.5° tolerance. What are the odds for both stamps to be so close on two different documents? I dont know and Arpaio also doesnt.
