House votes trump in or there will be a civil war
>40 faithless electors deny Trump the presidency
Nope. There is a standard procedure for rejecting faithless votes when Congress counts them.
Provided that one congressman and one senator agrees that the faithless vote should be discarded, then it is discarded.
As the number of votes discarded increases, the number required to for Trump to claim the presidency decreases quid pro quo.
Thus Hillary cannot win since at least one congressman and one senator will always support the discarding of faithless votes.
I know you're foreigners and that this shit is hard, but either learn it or fucking keep your yaps shut.
>at least one congressman and one senator will always support the discarding of faithless votes.
In theory anyway.
...
Why do we even have this system? We already had our election, and Trump won. What is the point of this procedure?
If somehow there would be electors who would not vote for Trump as they're obliged to then what's stopping loyal republican electors to reject every next person proposed?
