Yeah it's socialism, but it takes only the good aspects of socialism. For example there is the safety net of guaranteed work (Nazi Germany had zero unemployment) so you don't die of starvation but you also can't leech off the system.

Hitler was obviously a part of it, but not the sole reason. He did what he could to avoid war, others wanted it more than him. The USSR wanted to take over Europe, not Hitler.
