When the means of production are seized, do you think the people that took it away from the "bourgeois" are going to redistribute the wealth they gained back into the workers? No, they will remain in power because the reason most communist revolutions happen in the first place is the poor desire what the rich have and once they obtain it, they keep it. Completely incorrect. History shows time and again the free market generates far more wealth for it's citizens while communist countries languish in poverty. As for "the 1%" they exist in communism as well, while in capitalism it's private individuals who have got to that position on their own merits, under communism it's purely the state officials who become wealthy and is passed on completely through nepotism.
