Campi Flegrei is not a supervolcano. It is a high intensity volcanic area, known to the ancients as the door to Hades.
The issue is that quite often its activity has been tied to the activity of Vesuvius, which is an highly explosive active volcano and whose eruptions, if pyroclastic in nature, would menace the life of more than 600k people.
