Make no mistake, the Red army could and would have eventually defeated Finland, but Finnish tactics, homefield advantage as well as the Eastern Finnish soil and lack of infrastructure caused so many casualties that the Soviet performance was a complete embarassment for them and troops were needed elsewhere to combat the Germans. Stalin also feared a French / British intervention, as the Finnish cause was receiving much positive attention abroad.
Not that the Soviet performance was much better in the Continuation War.

The workers and citizen all earn the same no matter what while the state controls all resources and wealth. The workers begin to realize they can get away with only doing a little work and the state will still pay them the same. The state can realize that since it controls all resources and wealth, it can keep most of it for itself. It creates a terrible system of greed and laziness and the people who become punished are the citizens.
Now Historically speaking:
Every single time communism has been administered to a society there have been those who were against it. Each and every time these people who were against it were either forced, imprisoned, driven out, but mainly killed. The state always proves to be corrupt and the people have had their civil rights trampled on, forced into harsh poverty.
