The key to a strong state is having an education system structured around classics

In elite Roman grammar school, you only read four authors, including Cicero and Virgil. You read their works closely and obsessively, and learned to mimic their style perfectly. This is the main reason that the Latin of the elites is buttfuckingly complex. But it also allowed intense and precise expression of ideas.

You also had a group of elites who all had the same cultural background for 100s of years. They didn't need new classics or Jewish philosophy. They needed to speak well, think well, and serve the Empire, and the records of good and evil in the classics served this purpose.

When you change the classics, you change everything about a society. Our school system should teach math and science and history, but the """jewmanities" need to be completely overhauled. It should consist solely of:
>The Holy Bible
>Shakespeare's Works
>Philosophy from Plato to Aquinas ONLY
>Writings of the Founding Fathers
>Greco-Roman literature
>Select, non degenerate American literature screened for any hint of Leftism
>Additional Christian texts in private schools and religious education

And nothing else. Within a generation, this country would be more intelligent, thoughtful, and productive. Prove me wrong.

Very informative read, OP.
Got any more? Specifically asian?

Yeah

First example is the bible. Sorry, rid mankind of Jew influence Bible. Its an either/or

I keep seeing this pic and can only assume it's you repeatedly posting it as a thread starter. If you want foot fetish shit go to Sup Forums those queers love it.

That is some patrician level wife material. Oh, and I agree with your post too of course, but man, she looks so well set, clean, and beautiful. You also forgot Euclid, the Illiad, and Goethe's Faust.

>tfw what the fuck are you talking about schizo

Christ was the original anti-Semite. Your hatred toward the religion of Europe has blinded you to reality, and you've fallen for a pretty obvious trick.

I'm sorry, it seems your burgermatter is too feeble and stunted to understand the actual scope of valuable human knowledge that's necessary to lead a fulfilling life in today's society, let alone work to shape it in any meaningful form.

Half of what you listed were shit tier, unnecessary ((philosophers)). I'm sorry, explain very specifically how being acquainted with outdated, bullshit rantings of someone like Freud or the subversive rantings of Voltaire make someone happier.

None of it is necessary or useful. It's all circle jerking bullshit that led to the crisis of nihilism Europe is currently experiencing. Most people aren't familiar with this bullshit anyway and get by just fine. Having read just about everything on your list, I can tell you that Dostoevsky, Dumas, Descartes, and MAYBE Kierkegaard/Cervantes are worthwhile.

>Gotta read Marx to be happy
Get fucked Huenigger

wow i love soles

>explain to me why understanding how human knowledge builds upon itself from one generation to another is important

if you haven't read das kapital and some engels you simply don't belong in a post industrial world

ultimately there are only two ways to achieve happiness: to shut yourself in one of many varieties of dogmatic blissful ignorance; or to accept the meaningless never ending pursuit of human ideas as the only possible purpose of intelligent life

You're retarded. Engels and Marx are hilariously outdated and if anything, the passage of time has only prove their transient usefulness.

Not that they were ever actually useful in the first place.

Die commie scum.

>Die commie scum.

ignorance

engels is at the least a faithful historic piece, and history is always worth studying, while many processes described and concepts conceived on das kapital are still at work in modern capitalist societies, even if the interpretations are outdated/misguided however you want to put it

The interpretations exist to tortuously try to keep it relevant, because a minority of scholars have been trained as Marxists and desperately don't want it to wane in applicability. Everyone outside of those circles can see these """Scholars"""" for the self serving snakeoil salesmen that they are.

Maybe in your shit country people are still gommie faggots, but the real world has moved on.

you miss the point entirely, even if there are many marxist scholars that do little but masturbate upon reactionary and outdated ideas for their uni paychecks, that doesn't take away from the fact that the vol. 2 of the capital, standing on it's own, is a masterpiece

it intricately and pristinely explains the process of replication and accumulation of capital in human societies, forming the essentials of a theory of the trade cycle that would deeply influence keynesianism, major to the 20th century, and even to this day echoes in neo-keynesian serious economics work

no piece of human knowledge can be outright dismissed

agreed 100% OP. I had to restart my computer in order to allow for me to comment.

What's the point of education if it fails to teach the MOST important thing - that is - happy living? Because happiness can only come from living virtuous (guided by reason) and you can only use reason if you are well informed about the world

Anyway, I think there should be a morality test in school in order to let you pass. It should have questions like "how do you prove someone is lying" or other simple questions like that judged by a specialist examiner who assess you if you are competent in living a lot. So many people these days can't determine whether what they hear on the media is true or false or not - and they have no critical thinking or fair judgement today because we are so confused about good and bad, true and false. These texts would provide that insight unlike the degenerate dribble that saturates our schools in humanities and such.

Anyway, I hope this comment posts. Sup Forums has been fucked lately for me
