I know some people are really stupid, but i cant see the point of trying to start a new policical party by hijacking a plane for noteriety.

Id think it would be better to have a sort of coup at a vulnerable time, axe the members of an opposing party and then say "yeah we are this now, we did this FOR YOU"

But hijacking a plane, to say "Yeah we liked Gaddafi and want to be more like him", well, youve already lost the initiative.

I want to believe. At one point one of the hijackers waved the old, all green, Libyan flag. I don't get why they would hijack a plane to make a political statement.
