Federal-level politics is fun and all, but really all of the funds, the campaigning, the organizing is done on the spot. Organizing in suburbs is challenging, due to an individualistic nature of home ownership.
This is why the politics is really done in cities.
And boy, how it's done! Consider this State Senator from San Francisco, Leland Yee, a Democrat.
