Why is everything so boring?

why is everything so boring?

everything is predictable and nothing is unknown now

but the future is uncertain and the end is always near

Psychedelics and anime make the current year look dreary and repetitive in comparison.

from what it seems like, its not near, global warming is far away, north korea will never nuke, yellowstone will never erupt, everything is boring.

>ahmed raping my wife, mohammed raping my daughter, I am prepping the bull
>everything is so boring and daily

funny and original!

Actually it is safety that breeds complacency and boredom. Man has not had time to evolve to adapt to the rapid advancement of civilization over the past 10,000 years. Man is designed to be in constant search of means for survival in a competetive world with limited resources. You don't need to go innawoods and be a hermit to feel excitement war with civilization technology and war have brought excitement back into the zeitgeist on a scale previously unimaginable. Try riding motorcycle at high speeds, the innate danger will make your adrenaline spike and result in great thrills. Join your countries military or the french foreign legion as a frontline soldier (infantry for maximum effect).

You can also go a little darker and start using powerful and dangerous drugs for guaranteed thrills euphoria and an end to boredom (obviously this is very unsustainable and has extreme drawbacks).

The thing these three pursuits have in common is the innate danger and the extreme adrenaline rush possible. Personally I enjoy riding motorcycles.

You just have to decide if you'd rather live forever and be bored forever or burnout bright and extinguish your light fast, or my personal recommendation, find a happy medium in between. Life is all about balance if you are unhappy or have problems your life is guaranteed to lack proper balance.

Drugs are the answer

leaf has a point, we are in the uncanny valley of entertainment and it dulls ourselves to the glory of reality.

there are no happenings til the new year.

jesus why can't a cop shoot an innocent strong arm robber (mike brown)

why can't someone shoot someone more special than an ambassador

why is the election cycle over???

i'm turning off the chan for a while, reading a book or playing a video game, nothing new is happening here.

He's right, Sweden. How can you be so bored when you have so many problems around you to fix?

Because of the jews.

Why are you so bored?

you are fucking retarded. what am i suppose to do? join nordfront and hand out paper and wear a gay tie and march around? our next election isnt in 2 fucking years,

I'm never bored because I have interests in mythology, philosophy, etc. People that are bored tend to lack passionate interests.

Yes and those with passionate interests are declared autistic.

It's not about the end of the world as we know it, it's about finding out that you've got lymphoma or you get T-boned by someone who didn't see the light was red.

If it's the end for you it may as well be the end of everything from your point of view.

who googles "why is life so unfair"? What answers do they expect to get?

Better to be autistic than a zombie.

This

>except bluepilled two wheel whitemans suicide machines

Because we're not in a tv show.

Every day is the same. Yes, maybe something "big" happens, like a murder that appears on national TV, or a politician deeply concerned about some social issue, tomorrow you will have forgotten.

That's why HAPPENINGS are so fun, they unexpectedly add spice to your day. Like the Turkey coup.

yeah, i'm bored as shit

women are a waste of time, job market is shit, media is shit

i really don't have a reason for getting up in the morning. i would want a wife and family but the whole institution is fucked

>2016
>boring

Consumerism has rotted away at the core of Western civilization. It's all about who has the latest and best 'stuff' and barely anybody can hold a conversation about ideas anymore

Basically, greed has killed our societies. Unless Western civilization can shake off this soulless obsession with materialism, we're doomed.

Because the bombs hasn't fell yet.

LET IT ROLL BABY ROLL
LET IT ROLL BABY ROLL
LET IT ROLL
ALL NIGHT LONG

I'm not arguing, I'm just saying.

This. The Swede is used to being cucked, therefore making it another typical, boring aspect of it's everyday life.

"Boring" is a function of the brain which brings ambition to produce more things. If people didn't produce, if people were perfectly contented all the time, then this society would have nothing.

But our society likes to curtail our freedoms. The most ambitious people are a thing of the past. This was the 19th century, where people could escape the large state and the looters and build an economic empire of their own.

This current society has no place for us. Take it easy and relax, and let them have their corporations full of incompetent workers who never take responsibility for mistakes. Let the people's state burn in hell, and let the great heroes of the age rise in the ashes to rebuild it all again.

>IF MY GRANDMOTHER HAD WHEELS, SHE WOULD HAVE BEEN A BIKE!

...

>I enjoy riding motorcycles.
This does work.

All of these will happen in 2017..
kek my words

because the internet killed your attention span.

only boring people are bored. You have the whole internet at your fingertips, go learn something, go watch something you dip shit

Can confirm. My bike cured my nihilism.

Because you're a sociopath, Harry.

Holy shit, are you me? I ALWAYS say that to people who say they're bored

this
now imagine what happens when you have an entire generation grow up saturated by the information firehose.

Life is suffering.

Boring is subjective

You're partially right, but you fail to recognize that civilization == humanity. They are one of the same, even if our brains are "lagging" 200,000 years behind technology. Seeking thrills is just the release of adrenaline, dopamine, oxytocin, and some other shit I forgot (and it's pretty neat to realize that we've come so far to label these secretions, we've mastered nature). If regressing back to our feral nature by seeking cheap thrills makes you feel more at one with your humanity then that's good for you. You can take drugs to make it more or less accessible too.

The opposite side to argument is what the stoics purported: to regress the feral and become more human. Abstinence, meditation, and understanding were their virtues, and meant they were living life to their fullest when they did NOT do the thrill-seeking happy fun fun limited-time juice excretions. They also invented civilization because of this.

1st world problems sven.

We have all of our desires exposed to us in the media and have no incentive to experience anything in the flesh. This is further driven by our consumer lifestyle and lack of discipline within society. And not only that we aren't looked at as humans we are living ones at as customers. I'd have human knowledge engraved in tungsten and shot into space that way if an alien species could decipher it they would know how humanity perhaps may fail

I think intelligent people can never get bored because they always have many things to think about while stupid people think about the same few things over and over and get bored and depressed.

I've been doing off trail hiking and camping. It's is a thrill and can be very spooky. Read about skinwalkers while you are in your tent, and I guarantee you get freaked out/fear

Is this what you tell yourself to make living with ADD bearable.

I'm glad i grew up when i did, i pity the 3 year old cunts playing on their iPads.

No, intelligent people craze external stimuli to feed their imaginations and introduce themselves to new ideas. Serenity isn't intelligence, curiosity is intelligence.

Who's ignorant enough to actually think this way?

Yeah that's what I meant, thank you for summing up, Pete.

to play devil's advocate:

they'll be better than you at googling shit
they'll be better at interfacing with the noosphere of humanity
and they're probably going to be more omnipotent, if things play out right - hell if our brains are lagging behind and are too dumb to store the knowledge, we can juice them up with nootropics or neural meme lace. I think the short attention spans are good, gives everyone a chance to experience a little bit of everything humanity has collected thus far, and dumber, faster, highly populated ants are better than smarter, slower, less populated ones.

And there are even people who practice memory as an artform, so hopefully we'll see more publicity of the roman room technique and nootropics, so to make some of the info bombardment stick.

Bing bing we have a winner.

People have unrealistic expectations of life.

I strongly believe that this state of nothingness has been brought about by generation and generation following, participating, replicating, living from dusk till dawn and cradle to grave in this artificial (((System))) of Royalty, Government, Military, Nations, Laws, Regulations, Law Enforcement, Economic Ideologies.

IN THE END IT ALL LEADS TO NOTHING.

IT DOES NOT MOVE JUST AN INCH FROM POINT 1.

IT'S A FUCKING REPETETIVE ETERNAL CAROUSEL RIDE.

THE RIDE NEVER FUCKING ENDS.

AND WE FUCKING REINFORCE AND REPLICATE IT DAY BY DAY BY VOLUNTARY AND EVEN UNVOLUNTARY PARTICIPATION.

Humanity is split from one another, is split from the planet, is split from nature, is split from within each and every one of us.

It's starting to baffle me how Source itself has not yet pulled the plug on us.

We as a species are a fucking waste of creation, BECAUSE WE FUCKING ACT LIKE IT.

Fuck all of us.

>join Nordfront and hand out papers
that's better than nothing, but if you weren't pussy, you'd be an hero.

Or come up with your own non-boring solution. The world isn't here to entertain you faggit.

> they'll be better than you at typing stuff into a botnet search engine which makes them smarter

This picture is really interesting, because it touches on something I've thought for a while.

The reason an egalitarian civilization will never be achieved is because women simply cannot comprehend the blood-thirsty rage and innate instinct to kill that is found in most red-blooded males. We're wired to destroy, hurt and break, and when a (((Society))) tries to stomp out this instinctual behavior, degeneracy, apathy, societal depression and complacency become commonplace.

I'm not saying men are are purely driven by our instincts to kill. We are capable of complex emotions and thoughts that women couldn't even hope to achieve, but the duality of man is being actively destroyed, to turn us into women.

This is also anecdotal evidence, but I've asked some friends, online and in real life, and I've found that they share this sentiment, the desire to kill.

are you sure you're not having an existential crisis?

kike ass google was an example

you know how to look up facts, wiki shit, youtubes, pirate your weeb animes, and all sorts of ways to collect information. this site is no different.

I'm saying that ability will grow - the ability to access WHERE to find the knowledge, not WHAT the knowledge is of. And by proxy, they'll be smarter than you. Of course, we have to set things right while we're here and alive and make sure the knowledge their minds absorb is the right stuff.

I feel like all the unknown stuff left is too foreign and unattainable to be of interest. For example even if we do make decent space travel tech as far as we know there's really jack shit out there to see except rocks, and even getting to those empty rocks would take many many years.

The problems surrounding such technology are so mind bendingly difficult to break that even if you dedicate your life to solving it you will most likely only ever be a tiny fraction of a percent of the progress necessary to complete it.

Who wants to do physics problems for 40+ years and then at the end of it all think "well in 100, 1000, 10000+ years someone might be able to use this for something".

It's an interesting thought. At least until recently there were wars to fill this, now we live in an unprecedented time of peace and it will be interesting to see if it will come crashing down in the coming decades.

I'm convinced that boredom is partially caused by a vocabulary that lacks specificity. Try this: think of something you are somewhat interested in or would like to learn, find one thing to read about that subject (you could start on wikipedia), then collect the keywords associated with that subject, and search each of those words, and keep repeating this. Then you have shitload of information to occupy your time.

they will be unable to verify the authenticity of the information so it's pretty fucking useless ass skill.

I have to agree with this too, compared to ancient times where conquering weaker peoples was celebrated what we have today is boring as hell. The Romans would steamroll anyone they thought they could take, and here we are, with enormously powerful nations just letting incompetent shitholes squander places of tremendous value like all of south america and africa.

Oh look, literally nothing, if anything, the numbers you got are so fucking random the opposite will probably happen

A fun little evolutionary psychology theory I have:

Our male instinct to kill has developed so fast and in such a way that we take satisfaction in "killing" concepts of unknownness. We always have to create the destruction of a thought, there can be no such thing as "unthinking", our brains can only create - so because of this, we have an innate hatred towards the unknown - because it is difficult to create the destruction of that thought (we don't know it's "weakness"). Therefore, our primal killing instinct slowly became the concept of curiosity. Figuring shit out, discovering shit, getting redpilled, that's as close as we can get to to killing - or has become the new killing.

No real source to back it up, but explains why we don't die to sabertooth tigers anymore - because we've outsmarted them. And outsmarting is the same as killing.

Pretty much, but we come down to two pretty distinct choices concerning the beast found within man:

>It needs to be tamed and controlled, whether by (((society))), religion or self-reflection and inner

>It needs to be let loose to maintain a healthy society

That's an interesting thought, but if this was true why do you think apathy, depression and complacency are so commonplace with young males now?

Because you're not doing anything interesting faggot.

Titanic box-office performance; Johnny Depp and Brad Pitt divorce.

Sly and Arnie being grandpas.

Conchita Wurtz; shark attacks; pollution; hysterical music and mass cheap alcohol consumption.

>why do you think apathy, depression and complacency are so commonplace with young males now?

It's a sign of a society in its last stages I think. Rome before it's fall, Greece before Macedonian takeover, Baghdad before mongols destroyed it. Not saying history repeats but there seem to be certain patterns and it does not look good.

They're being force fed knowledge they never knew they wanted. Kike brainwash, degeneracy, and the touch-of-a-button accessibility of hedonism (porn, booze).

Sup Forums is a strange exception to this, however. we're force fed knowledge we KNOW we want. That's what makes it addicting, I think.

But most numale libfags just don't want to take the time to figure shit out for themselves, that's what suppresses their curiosity/killing instinct.

In any case, when you're dealing with this kind of complex thinking, there's literally infinite things you could synthesize and analyze from, and evo psychology takes the cake.

>I'm bored...what do...i know!..I'll invade Sweden and rape all their women.

>they'll be better at interfacing with the noosphere of humanity

The Borg would not have to invade planets to create new Drones in real life. They would just have to appear as 'cool' and 'futuristic'.

Bump
