I'm fine with the extra GST for imports, it sucks but at the same time it's fair because Australian businesses are getting their clients poached by cheap third world suppliers as it is, 10% relieves the market pressure to do it quick and dirty if only a little bit.
Anyway, as I said before it's not that I don't give a fuck about those tax figures above but that ridiculous difference in revenue to taxable income tells me there's not a mere loophole going on here, Australian businesses are subject to 30% flat tax under all circumstances including capital gains. If you're an individual I think this gets cunt but companies must pay 30% of everything. This makes me think that the reason why the tax paid is so small is because that company incurred pretty big losses in the recent past (maybe during the '08 crash?) and thus the actual taxable income in subsequent years has been zero or (or in this case, close to it). I seriously doubt there's any loopholes in the tax code that would allow for such a massive loss of government tax revenue, a few hundred million here or there certainly but nothing this major.

I go to RMIT and used to go to Melb Uni. It's not the visual socialist supporters that's the problem. The socialist alternative or Marxist Student group are a fucking joke, literal canned responses from them when you actually question their narrative.
It's the socialist leaning professors/lecturers and education officials that lecture and correct results. I mean I did a course on global "meme" warming (because it was compulsory and had no choice) and writing anything other then what their narrative is for opinion pieces gets marked harshly (aka below 40%). The professors/lecturers are teaching or brainwashing us to view the world with a socialist viewpoint rather than our own. It even happens in primary school, white history is rarely taught its all about how white people were so terrible to the poor poor aboriginals (who never fought over land themselves), even at a young age we are taught to hate what we our. For now engineering is a relatively SJW free degree, you would think Agriculture would be too but it wasn't (compulsory SJW tier courses).
