Bad spelling, think they were going for aluminium
>aluminum foil
>not tin foil
>not aluminium
this, americans are shit at spelling
Well it's a long story. But here is the sort version.
In 1922 sir Charles Reynolds decided to start producing Reynolds wrap in America seeing a great potential in the consumer base. After three years after selling his famous wrap in America be decided that to increase his profit margin he would have to abandon the English market. Upon doing so, 20,000 brits lost their jobs which some say led to an economical collapse as the unemployment rose. British people loved Reynolds wrap so much that they had to keep importing which raised the price of the special wrapping so much they in subsequent years caused the economy to sink further. They say this was one of the major reasons leading up to post ww2 that caused America to become the economic power house that it is today while the U.K. Has been cucked for the last 50 years by the U.N. the British still import the wrap in massive quantities today. Furthering the reliance on foreign economies to support their own. And there you have the story of how sir Charles Reynolds destroyed the homeland he loved and cemented the future of all British.

It ceased being acceptable when the guy who decided on the name decided on a different name
