I wouldn't want to be Fitzgerald's descendants watching this. If he had any.

Some of the best cinematography I've seen. I bought a copy once it got cheap because of that.

It's an embelleshed tale, but I liked it. Is Sup Forums going to ruin that for me? Did the jews do it?

I'll tell you one thing, I thought they were gonna do the whole "muh stolen lands" bullshit but that first scene may have accidentally established the injuns to be a savage band of scalping raiders.

It was beautiful with its shots of nature and all I really got from it is that you had to be one tough son of a bitch to make in the American Frontier

It's a slideshow of pretty pictures and Tom Hardy talking with a dick in his mouth the whole time.

exacly it is a good film from the storytelling perspective. cinematography is 10/10 without question. but im just curious about the whiteguilt scenes and the racemixer vs the pro white. whats the agenda? did the jews do it

It's fucking shit. No idea about the political implications, but the cinematography doesn't make up for the rest of the movie being garbage.

true. i loved the beauty of it, but got distracted and disgusted by all the white guilt shit

This

Total let down

watching hollywood movies is as blue pilled an activity as you can get

It's boring and shitty.
Leo is not good in it.
There is no character development.
Didn't deserve all the praise.

Fitzgerald was literally Sup Forums

Movie itself is lurk-warming. Not really good. Iñarritu can fuck off and so the cucks who will praise him unbeknownst of his leftie politics

Everyone is shown as savage in the movie. Maybe that's suggesting we're all the same, maybe it's suggesting that we're products of our environment. I didn't feel it was overplayed or out of place given the context of the setting.

Inaccurate portrayal of the French. Garbage and slander.

>muh colonialism
>muh dirty French people
>muh racist hics
>"all they see is the color of your skin"
>muh race mixing
>muh ebil whitey

It was a well made (((film))) but of course the entire plot is about a white hic oppressing the poor dindu native boi and his race mixing dad.

>as a filmmaker i
really? what agency are you with?

It is just DiCaprio moaning for almost three hours. Hardy was much more natural in his role and he was the one who should get Oscar for it. But we all know that Caprio gotten it because he started to shovel the climate change shit.

A bloke crawling round in the snow for an hour and a half making pain noises.

I thought it was great.

The antagonist was a racist asshole, obviously, but his character was deep enough that people couldn't really be able to blame him, fucking missing half his scalp after all.

I thought it was a very fair and accurate film of a period and setting which is poorly understood today.

Just a bunch of different people trying to survive in a brutal, uncaring world. People actively fuck each other over their own benefit. The only thing that can save you is yourself. You can't make the world better, you can only work hard and pursue / defend your own interests. If your interests are genuine, you will find people that will find it profitable to work with you fairly. But you never know and must stay on guard.

Great message for a population that is entirely too comfortable with its shitty state.

Fitzgerald was the ultimate survivor, that motherfucker did what ever he could to survive.

Sure the US Army may have rekt Glass's wife and tribe but all I really got from it is that Glass was trying to be something he's not, he doomed himself and his kid to a life of suffering because of it and it'll haunt him till he dies.

All the other Trappers were just regular joes trying to get by and not get scalped and the injuns whine about getting BTFO'd but the movie implies that they're BTFOing each other anyways.

The trappers were the only ones trying to make an honest living in that movie.

Also, fuck the French

it's not about who did it, but who promotes it.

It's a fantastic movie. Light years apart from most movies these days. Art of film making matters. Not just "muh cgi" or pretty people etc.

All natural lighting too, except 1 scene.

Reminded me of how beautiful nature is.
Fell asleep half hour in

Scenery and cinematography were incredible. Long shots with a ton of moving parts. Leo didn't deserve best actor, Tom Hardy was better than him

The motivations at the end weren't right. When Decarprio sends his main villain down the stream to get murdered by the redskins. The Indians didn't have any beef with that guy, just the audience knew he had a troubled history with Indians and the chick who got raped was cool with Leo now. I guess it makes sense since Indians are savages in general but I assume Hollyjew is too liberal to admit it on purpose

>As a film maker
Tsui Hark ?

>Tom Hardy talking with a dick in his mouth the whole time.

That's how he got cast in everything else.

I really enjoyed it.

It's stunning that the academy gave Leo the Oscar for this role. Lay on a thing and mutter n moan and whisper hoarsely

I always felt like the academy gave this to him as a joke.

lol
>thinks film makers have agents

fuckin frog. no good movie has come from france since La Nouvelle Vague

I really liked it and thought was was really well made and pretty hardcrore in some scenes for a mainstream movie.

Riding the horse of the cliff was a little OTT and Based Tom Hardys performance was just as good as Leo's.

Man In The Wilderness is also worth a look.

youtube.com/watch?v=xpUJ1cgwn-Y

Man in the Wilderness was so much better

Why does Sup Forums constantly rally on leftie degenerate filmmakers is beyond me

>a bluepilled immortal asshole who had committed rassenschande takes his revenge

Sadly this true. We have talented film makers but basically no industry except the public industry financing (CNC) but the Nepotism is ridiculous there. So we see tens of terrible comedy with the same terrible actors and litteral propaganda. Everyone is moving to LA to work in hollywood.
I miss de Funés

Yeah that scene in the beginning was pretty good, i'm glad they made the Indians CGI though, it would be too dangerous to film with live savages.

I'm still amazed they got a trained bear to fight with DiCaprio like that.

If you want to know an injuns opinion on it, I thought them calling the savages tree nigger was funny, it caught me off guard because I've only ever heard low energy slurs like chug before, I didn't think (((Hollywood))) would go out of their way to invent newer and better slurs to show how evil whitey was.

Anyway Leo put too much stats in HP and not enough in sneak, 3/10 not oscar worthy.

>Watch as Leonardo Dicaprio rolls around in the snow while foaming at the mouth for 2.5 hours

No thanks.

Stunning? No, it isn't. DiCaprio jumped on the climate change bandwagon, got an Oscar half a year after that, talked down to the plebs during the ceremony, ordered them to lower their emission and polluting, and after that he fucked off in his limouzine, parked in his private jet and landed on superyacht he borrowed from his oil magnate pal.

t. embryos

It's embarrassing how much damage videogames and cartoons did to your attention span.

it's called kino

Fuck off Leo, you got your oscar, you don't need to defend it.

Kek and that we're using your public funding system

Fucking socialism ruins everything. With that said, François Ozon is pretty based and isn't that arab french girl starring with Brad pitt?

It was propaganda bullshit as usual.
You see it is inspired to a true story, but you didn't have any half indian kid in real life, that was forced because the movie wasn't different enough. For real, it is a shame they had to ruin a good survival movie, but they ALWAYS have to be political

>t. Leonardo Dicuckrio

>t. im so le cultured

Faggot.

The movie was only impressive on a technical level, the way it was filmed deserves some credit, too bad the whole thing was ruined by DiCraprio's shitty acting. Tom Hardy, the actor who played the 'badguy' is a much better actor than DiCaprio is.

That baby faced cunt still doesn't deserve the best actor award, fucking bitch, constantly whining for years about never getting it.

Tom Hardy pretty much saved it and made a terrific villain.

its a good movie until you read literally anything about the actual events

then you realize its a leftist pro-Indian pile of shit where even most of the non Indian related events are entirely false.

I wasn't upset paying 6 dollars to see it. Wasn't the best but it was far from a poor film. I didn't like how unrealistic some scenes were though. How would DiCaprio survive being plunged into 40 degree water and then hop out and walk around a 0 degree alaska without dying?

I loved the movie hands down. One of the best movies ever made in terms of scenery.

Only Alberta can be so beautiful.

Fake CGI Bear! DiCaprio should never have won the Oscar, when people that have starred with real Bears have been ignored.
