After thinking about for a bit, I came to the conclusion, that One Piece is actually surprisingly redpilled. Let me give a few examples: >no niggers >no democracy >anti-globalist >lots of homogen countries
Also, while Luffy starts out seeking ultimate freedom, he more and more realizes that such freedom carries great responsibility.
Michael Evans
Also pic related was included in Odas original design.
Joshua Adams
Idk, sure there's a shit load of imagery in the show, but it lost a lot of face during the whole Ivankov thing
Gavin Barnes
Every society in this world has a strong leader, even all the small crews have a very clear hirarchical structure.
Elijah Lopez
sure, there are the trannys and Ivankov, but he depicts them fuckugly and on a containment island. He makes it quite clear that they are in fact not women.
Asher Perry
also the currect arc, Big Mom Arc seems like one of the first introductions of diversity in the manga. And it paints quite a negative picture.
Jaxson Lopez
None of that means anything, One Piece is a childrens show.
Evangelion though, now that is the true redpilled anime.
>antagonists are all Jews >one of the protagonists is half German >pro christian imagery and symbomisn everywhere >teaches kids underage/premarital sex is bad
Some other shit, can't really remember. Its been years since I saw the series.
The series has a lot of philosophy, although I would not be able to point out what kind exactly. Objectivism maybe.
Isaac Stewart
Tenryuubito are basically jews in the show
Jace Gomez
the animation for this show is so shitty.
Easton Watson
Would be nice to get some input on this guys. I read the manga since long before I became redpilled, but I recently thought about it a bit more. I'm gonna check back in about 30 minutes.
James Harris
Of course it is but it's childish and won't find much reception among those who would agree with it. Get your kids to watch it.
Blake Collins
read the manga
Luke Morgan
It surprises me how much this show is brought up on Sup Forums. One Piece is based as fuck. Long anime is usually shit but One Piece is definitely the exception.
Josiah Cooper
I don't know how you people read the mangas, every time I tried it nothing made sense, like in one page a fight would starting from nowhere and in the next they're preparing to fight, nothing like normal comics. Weird Jap shit
Dominic Wilson
It's like they intentionally crammed everything I don't like about anime into one show.
Jeremiah Lee
not at all fishman island are the blacks of one piece fishman island arc is all about how we should love other races and whitey is evil
Jack Powell
That's right, try to justify your degeneracy of watching Anime by trying to imply that this is somehow "red pilled", well goyed
Jayden Ward
Ussop > Zoro > Robin >>>>rest
Henry Lee
As much as I hate to say it, this Tiger Fisher even looked like a damn nigger Then again, fishmen are depicted as violent savages some times
Xavier Torres
then you have abysmal taste
Carson Morales
boy that swastika's backwards
Lucas Phillips
I think u are reading it the wrong way
Joshua Bell
Like what? There's no moe shit Only thing that sucks about it is flashbacks to scenes that happened five minutes earlier in the same episode
Anthony Hughes
I love Evangelion.
Noah Clark
The core message is simply that children are born without hate and only learn to hate other people because they are raised that way. All in all the stance of the autor was pretty neutral. He showed that niggers can be savages as well and even the good guys have hatred in them.
Justin Rodriguez
Brook > Living
Benjamin Cox
you read it starting at the back and work towards the front.
>nips logic
Jose Ward
Can feel my cancer cells dividing. Thanks OP.
Connor Flores
Not to mention the current arc where the island seems to be a multicultural paradise and the leader (villain) is a mad, old and ugly woman
Oliver Bennett
Thats because it isnt a swastika
Lincoln Martinez
Also >every race is different, and they are treated differently
Nolan Bailey
I wouldn't say it's redpilled so much as it's "honestly Japanese." The enemies are the World Government and the current antagonist is a woman who takes a soul tax from her people and wants one person from every race in her family. On the other hand, Wano is going to be about opening Japan's borders and Fishman Island was also basically about all people being equal.
One Piece is really jump an action/adventure/comedy serial not to be taken too seriously, even though its post-timeskip topics have been very dark, but if there have been two messages that have resonated with me throughout the series. One was Dr. Hililuk's speech about how men only die when they are forgotten. The other was actually the moral of Fishman Island. Not about people being equal or whatever, but Fisher Tiger's message. Even after spending so much time with Koala, he still hated humans so much to the point that he'd rather die than have their blood in his veins. His final message before dying was that if they wanted everyone to stop hating each other so much, they had to forget the past and stop passing the cycle of hate onto their children. This is proven to have not been heeded advice when Hody Jones reveals that humans didn't do anything to him, he hates them because his idols growing up did and he doesn't want their sacrifice to be in vain.
Either way, I love One Piece, but redpilled? Dunno about that. It's just Japanese.
William Brown
holyshit, I had no idea it was still going. How many episodes are there now?
Brandon James
>there is a secret society of scrawny big nosed weaklings who control the world through manipulation of media and live in a "holy city", creating false flags around the world and pitting races against each other for profit
really makes u think
Austin Cruz
770 but i am pretty sure this number could get halved if all the fillershit is taken out fuck the anime honestly, the manga is the only way to go
John Sanchez
>. One was Dr. Hililuk's speech about how men only die when they are forgotten. I also remember the Brook one "Death is not an excuse to break a promise"
Gabriel Watson
770 is the latest episode. 851 is the latest chapter. I wouldn't recommend watching the anime, personally. It is so low quality and slow as shit. Like how Dragon Ball would pad out their episodes by having attacks take forever, One Piece does this with everything. Everything takes forever. Back in like 2005, it was typical for a battle shounen episode to be about 2.4 chapters, but One Piece has it down to like 1. It's painful. The last episode I watched, they had to stop their walk from one house to another to fight BEES. Not anime killer giant Beedrills. Bees.
Regardless, the manga probably has another 10 years in it. Maybe longer, 'cause Oda is insane and also he doesn't write as many chapters as he used to due to health problems.
Evan Morris
damn. That, + movies and other spinoffs, @ 20 mins per episode, Have people really spent two years of their lives watching this?
Nicholas Murphy
remind you of someone?
Tyler Rodriguez
>creating false flags WG hide Arabasta WG hide the whole Void century WG hide Flevance and the white/amber lead massacre WG hide some pirates actions on purpose and promote others to create a balance in the world
Eli Taylor
>no niggers You have black people in the OP world
Bentley Reyes
long as fuck animes are ALWAYS shit
Animes that conclude in under 30 episodes are generally much better
see: evangilion hellsing ultimate chobits
Christopher Foster
That's because long animes are based on weekly/monthly manga. They get greenlit when the series becomes popular, which is almost guaranteed to be when it's only been out a year or two, and run out of material very quickly as it doesn't take 20 minutes to animate 16 pages. So, the studios end up having to either slow things down, which makes it boring, or completely make up shit on their own, which is bound to be shit.
My Hero Academia (the newest and what feels like final battle shounen) is trying to avoid this by airing seasonally like American TV shows.
Benjamin Turner
That isn't the only interpretation. The fishniggers in One Piece actually have unique abilities, like breathing underwater. And Arlong very early on was like the prime example of african immigration. And the message of fishman island is not anti-human. Also the enslavement of fishmen is instigated solely by the jews of OP.
Hudson White
Good grief, at some point they all become the same show about yelling and flashing backgrounds. How do they manage to keep people hooked for that long? I reckon the last battle type anime I watched was Yu Yu Hakusho, and toonami in my region stopped airing it after the dark tournament arc.
Mason Kelly
yeah, like 3 in the whole story. And none of them are memorable characters.
Noah Collins
just read the damn manga It's totally worth it. Oda Eichero is a genius.
Tyler Hill
I'd rather be a bit more productive with my free time.
Robert Martinez
Well at least One Piece has a lot more going for it than just fights. The main reason why it is able to keep the motivation high to keep reading (or watching) is because the autor created a world that has a ton of interesting stuff going on. There are many interesting questions still left unanswered, many mysteries not fully explained and many interesting characters still left that need to play a role. And it is not like the autor stalls with answering the questions. He just gives the reader enough information without revealing everything that it is satisfying.
Andrew Wood
like posting on Sup Forums? > really activates the almonds
Brayden Bailey
>tfw the real world is just like one piece's but separated by antartica
Nicholas Young
I'm at work right now. Can't be watching Cambodian watercolor painting tutorials while in my office.
Lucas Walker
LOGH is probably the longest anime that isn't total garbage and that's because there is hardly any filler at all, and its original as opposed to being based on anything
its just long as hell holy fucking shit why its like literally two years long
Robert Garcia
Sorry what?
Landon Torres
Logh is based on a novel
Jose Roberts
I don't know how anyone can watch this shit. My roommate used to have it on and it's literally just a bunch of characters screaming to each other all the time
Daniel Martinez
If you can browse Sup Forums I'm pretty sure you also can read manga. yeah FMA was great too
Carson Foster
interesting
???
Wyatt Cook
Reminder that if you watch anime you are a degenerate.
Jason Hall
FMA: Brotherhood was 64 episodes long and is considered to be one of the best, Same with FMA 2003
Xavier Flores
that's not that particularly long compared to LITERALLY 700 EPISODES for one piece or over 900 for naruto or god knows how many for all the dragonballs
Samuel Ramirez
>hates Anime >posts on Sup Forums so edgy
Logan Bennett
Not as redpilled as Kaiji.
Adam Carter
I'll give you this: Dragonball (original, and Z) are classics and while they are not 10/10 quality, they still are enjoyable. One Piece is good, but it's too damn long, and Naruto is a nigger's show.
Cooper Johnson
Cartoons from China can never be redpilled
Nolan Flores
>it's literally just a bunch of characters screaming to each other all the time sure you aren't confusing it with DBZ?
Liam Bell
Hans it is a COMICS that's for CHILDREN
Gabriel Morales
A scream a day keeps the space dicator away
Lucas Martinez
It's from Japan not China. And both countries have homogenous societies unlike us.
Luis Adams
fair enough. However I still don't see what's interesting about it, perhaps the trailers don't do it justice. I also have a tendency to learn about something every time I come to this dastardly site, things that may be news, or outside the scope of my day to day life. I can come here, have an interesting discussion, and I find entertainment in that. I can very rarely sit through most movies, series, or even fiction books, but oh well.
Josiah Cox
>One Piece is good, but it's too damn long I disagree. It's length is justified actually when you realize how big the overarching story is. There is not a single arc that does not add to the world building and overall storyline.
Eli Taylor
>>It's from Japan not China. how new are you?
Aaron Lee
>china >homogeneous
Cameron Sullivan
its LITERALLY two STRAIGHT YEARS of anime
and it has way too much fucking filler
Wyatt Collins
How accurate is this chart Sup Forums
Liam Gomez
oh sorry I always have the manga in mind when talking about One Piece, the anime has been destroyed by fillershit and I did not touch it since 2012
Levi Price
I've only just started watching about three months ago and I've only got 100 or so episodes left Didn't watch the movies though
Noah Gomez
People who like that shit tend to like seeing it over and over again. Especially if you keep coming up with new gimmicks: Dragon Ball is FotNS in space; JoJo is FotNS with fashion models and punchghosts; Naruto is Dragon Ball with ninjas; One Piece is Dragon Ball with pirates; My Hero Academia is Naruto with superheroes. A lot of the excitement people get from these series is, "What kind of ability will the next character have?"
One Piece is also a little different from other battle shounen. It's more about adventure and comedy than action. It's structured like an RPG, where you travel around the world and gain new party members. Oda's also good at hyping up characters and the general joviality of the series makes serious dramatic moments more poignant than they might be in a normal series.
Usopp is at least a quarter black. He's the best person in the world at shooting and lying, and he's always trying to steal Luffy's posit- oh...
Ayden Sanchez
I've read mangas with hundreds of chapters in merely a few hours so generally speaking its difficult to make a manga that is too long
for example I read tic-neesan in less than two days of intermittent reading and it has 140~ chapters with anywhere from 7 to 9 panels per
Matthew Perry
The author himself said this. I don't think anyone expected Robin to be Russian or Brook to be Austrian, but the others fit.
Jacob Cruz
Came to lurk after starting punk hazard. Didn't expect to see a thread about this is pol
Henry Smith
This thread is already better than any OP threads made on Sup Forums

Those are the places where oda said the characters are from so yeah, accurate. Except maybe ussop, he wasn't specifically south african, said to be from somewhere in africa.
Oliver Adams
>best character from best country super/10
Brody Bailey
mate you are reading it too fast.
Noah Wilson
its my autismpower desu

400-page novel? lol I'm done in a day
robert jordan? literally done in a month

I'm jealous. I've been reading this Lord Dunsany novel for 8 months. It might also be because it's boring as dogshit.

the latest arc has a LOT of potential to redpill readers on gender issues and marriage
honestly I would recommend it to anybody. it's typical shonen shit, but there's some really good RP nuggets throughout.

really? I must have missed it. He is rather light-skinned tough.
He also said "mother" is the polar opposite of "adventure".
