Everyone I know who has good paying jobs , never did it through hard work or dedication, it was from a family member getting them the job or an attractive stacy getting the job only because she is good looking, It's unfair that retail and fast food workers are underpaid so much, considering these are the hardest jobs to do. You should get paid more money for harder the work, yet this isn't the case.

Now I work as a chemist for a major fortune 500 company, bringing home 65kyr salary AND I LITERALLY DON"T DO ANYTHING AT WORK. My work is all done by robots and I just input and record data. My boss takes all the employees out for a 3 hour lunch every friday and we all get paid for it. Every day we have a 2 hour meeting in the morning which is just an excuse to eat donuts and drink coffee and just bull shit with each other. My job even payed off my college debt for me. THIS IS UNFAIR AND NOT OK. But none of these privelged people want to admit that they are getting payed more money for less work, and are turning their nose to hard workers of retail and fast food. Its disgusting

All oil isn't equal in terms of production cost. If it costs $35 a barrel to make in one place and $2 a barrel in another if the world market price is $45 someone is making far more money.

In any position right out of college with a large organization you don't do shit for the first few years. That's because as smart as you think you are, you don't know anything about the real working world and what they really want you to learn is the basics of the industry and the organizational culture. You're paid what you're paid because they see potential for you in the future based on your work in attaining a relevant degree. In my circle of friends, I am about the only one that did not take a bachelors/masters degree.

I just finished high school with a degree, and startet working in a "low wage" job.
(still do, but in a different firm)

Right now I have the biggest house of all my friends, and while they all struggle with their student loans, I have enough disposable income to maintain a comfertable life style.

I eat at restaurants whenever I want, I go on trips throughout Europe and over the last 3-4 years I have spent about 20k on a old car that I have just for fun.

(I also have a "normal" car for every day use)

Granted, my friends with degrees will eventually have more money than me, and they will probably be more "rich" in the end, I will have had about a 10 year head start on a "comfortable" life before they have finished their degrees and paid of their studend loans.

During those 10 years my house will increase in value as long as the russians do not wreck us and I will have paid of large portions of my loan.

Degrees are worthless in Norway, and unless you take them because you want to work within a specific field, then you have just wasted 5-10 years of your life studying something meaningless and then paying down large student loans.

Meanwhile, I will continue work with "low" income, and when I have no more loans (hopefully about when I turn 45) I will just work half weeks and chill for the rest of my life.
