So in addition to this basic income you'll still need to have social securities. Basically its extra cash for those who are already employed but it isn't a solution to the problem of unemployment since the problem isn't that there we don't have a working unemployment benefit system already when we're lacking decent paying jobs.

The disappointment for many migrants arriving here for gibsmedats is that they never bothered to learn about the Finnish price level. 1000 euros already include your rent which is at the level of 450-650 for a shitty one room appartment depending where you live. Food and basic products are expensive as hell. Basically a mere loaf of bread is one days worth of basic laborers wages in Iraq.
Those migrants really should learn to take a look at the big mac index before getting on the boat. In many parts of middle-east you can have more luxurious life if instead of investing in international human trafficking to get you into this promised land of gibsmedats they could invest in education and make their lives better in their home countries.

Because creating jobs is actually hard when all your business friends are focusing on blaming everything on "evil unemployed living on benefits" instead of recognizing that their business models are failing and that most Finnish big businesses are just as reliant on government gibsmedats as are the unemployed.
Also every time they talk about "helping small businesses" they cut red tape, taxes and increase benefits to big businesses while increasing bureaucratic loops to jump through for small ones. The truth being that our "entrepreneurship" right-wing parties are filled with people with investments in big business and the last thing they want is genuine competition to take place. So blaming the workers and the unemployed is only way to go.
