But you can't just gloss over the fact that it ended up losing cataclysmically. If you want to win the battle for America's future, you're going to have to be more sanguine about the reality of things, and work within more realistic constraints.

I don't have any sort of nostalgic fetish of Nazism nor does anyone prominent (that I know of) on the alt right. Any allusions to The Reich are purely meant to engender a change in the current paradigm -- the paradigm in which Che Guevara T-shirts and hammer & sickle banners are virtuous signals. The alt-right should never go as far as fetishizing abhorrent failures of ideology like Nazism, as leftists do with Leninism or Marxism, but by boldly referencing such a thing we can change the culture to become more accepting of ideas that are less than those espoused by Nazism.
It is a simple idea, so don't conflate references to what is admittedly a failed and abhorrent ideology to some kind of fetish from which we can create a larger movement -- the goal is to change the culture so that Hitler can be seen as merely a historical figure just as Stalin or Marx.
