There have been more deportations during the last couple of years than there has been for decades. This is just a 'peaceful' alternative that I've heard a lot of people suggest, and now it has actually been tried and failed.

One of the biggest barriers for deportations is the fact that the refugees home countries don't recognize them as citizens of those countries, and because no-one has the guts to say "tough luck" and give the invaders a death sentence they get to stay.
We're supposed to be more "humane" than that. Though it's not a solution I enjoy, I'm feeling more and more like it's a necessary solution. Alternatively pregnant refugees need mandatory abortions and sterilization upon entry.

Sterilizing a man costs less than $1,000 in Norway. That's less than it costs for an entire year in benefits for a child. Sorry, Sven. It's one thing to spout opinions. It's another thing entirely to convince the people capable of doing these things to actually do it. Even if it was written into law you'd still need to get past the surgeons/police/military's ethical barriers. In a way I am thankful for that, the people have heart and want to be good people.
