Only empire we freed ourselves from was the Russian tsardom and there wasnt much of a fight in that. Lenin had already promised independance to Finland before he got in power. Of course there was a immideate communist uprising in Finland and the soviets were more than happy to support the reds.

A little perspective reminder here. It was all thanks to Russia for giving Finland freedom to build our national identity during the years of autonomy after hundreds of years under Kalle och Pelle rule. Without Russia intervention we wouldn't have written finnish language, our glorious flag or the other things that make us finnish. We may have fought our recent wars against russians but Sven is also a very bad man.
