You can still read it, but you won't get as much out of Evola's works if you aren't familiar with philosophers who came before him

Evola touches upon a pretty large amount of different philosophers in the book but I'd say there's only a few philosophers who's works you need to understand beforehand to get a really good grasp of what he's saying. Nietzsche, Sartre, Heidegger and Marx are a must where other name-dropped writers like Seneca, Schopenhauer, Dostoyevsky, etc. are less necessary.
