Who would win?

*AH-64 has unlimited 30mm, 1 fuel refill
*Limited to 350 ft

As someone who sexually identifies as an attack helicopter, I am offended by this thread.

Helicopters are delicate beasts around the propeller. Depends if the romans can jam one of them. At 11 metres in the air that wouldn't be too hard with mass arrows.

As someone who sexually identifies as a roman soldier, I can say without a doubt that you are mad because you know we win every time.
>attack helicopter
more like laydown and take it helicopter.

if playing civilization taught me anything is that the romans would win

>romans
>arrows

>Disperse and hide in hilly forest
>Force heli to chase you around the hils and eventually crash

Apache breaks down before taking all the romans out.
Untouchable until that point.

>Romans
>Not running away because a giant fire breathing thing made of metal is flying at them while hundreds of their comrades just get utterly ripped to pieces

Depends on the tactics.

If the 30,000 dispersed and hid and just waited till the apache ran out of fuel, they would win. Even with FLIR the apache wouldn't be able to hunt down 30000 people in a few hours.

If i remember correctly the 30mm had a certain tendency to jam
The romans have 1 small chance

Maybe he's including auxilia? 30,000 Romans is about 4 legions, or more likely, 2 legions with an equal number of auxilia

Appache

Romans would think it´s a beast of Hades or something and just run away.

Never forget about moral in battles.

>Implying Master Roman siege engineers wouldn't end the apache with a delicately aimed scorpion bolt

Lmaoing at ur life senpai!

>unlimited

The Apache then. Realistically though, the 30,000 Romans. It will run out of ammo or gas and have to retreat or die.

Absolute best case scenario
> 1200 30mm HE rounds: 10 Romans each
> 80 70mm rockets: 50 Romans each
> Hellfire missiles: basically useless
That's around 16000 dead Romans. Even if they all grouped up, which they wouldn't, the pilots would still have to knife fight thousands of armored Roman soldier. So basically the Apache wins.

This. And the chopper couldn't even take the city if it won

Depends on if the romans have their ballerinas.

That's a good point. I think that it basically comes down to two possibilities.
1) The Romans retreat.
2) they hold the line until the fuel runs out.

> 1 fuel refill

Apache would crash before it could kill the 30,000 infantry.

Apache all day every day

The Romans , badass motherfuckers that they were , would fall to the superior tech of the superior white

Dunno, if the Romans saw an Apache they'll probably think its some god or mythological being.
Even though you only kill maybe 20% of its army

They would at least panic and run.

I mean, that is a lot of soilders

With unlimited fuel it could probably just hovercamp out of range, but with limited fuel it would simply be a matter of time until it's over, and would not depend on the way the roman soldiers tried to take it down.

Lets have a better one.

The entirety of the US armed forces (with prep time, all reservists called in and so on) vs a battle hardened Warhammer 40k imperial guard strike force of lets say 250.000 men.

IG force has faced chaos and tyranids before and has full mechanicum (knights + some titans) and air support appropriately scaled to the size of the strikeforce.

Guard deep-strikes into mainland USA. No nukes as the imperials would then call in an orbital bombardment.

I'd give them laptops, phones and televisions filled to the brim with porn and wait till Slaanesh consumes them or they start purging each other or just straight up lay the exterminatus on themselves.

I think well developed hive worlds have telecommunications and levels of degeneracy orders of magnitude above what we can offer.

Is this a fucking joke? IG every time.
