>capitalism rationally allocates resources! >brings out a new phone every year that is only a marginal improvement from the year before so I can extract more shekels
Is anyone more cucked than market fundamentalists? Let me give you an answer... nope.
What is innovation? What is supply and demand? What is desire? What is greed? What is human nature?
Carter Perez
>innovation Implying they couldn't add those features a years before. They specifically hold back from making the best possible phone so they can shill the next model in 9 months.
Eli Green
>What is desire? What is greed? What is human nature? If you have an economic system in which it is encouraged and rewarded, then you'll get it.
James Nelson
>human nature requires a system
>implying they have all upgrades to all devices in a warehouse
Michael Ward
>American education The environment doesn't incentivize certain behaviours? And no, retard, but they have everything planned far ahead of schedule. When your new iPhone is released its already out of date as they are already working on the next one, with slight improvements, sometimes years ahead.
Kevin Baker
You don't have to buy a new phone every year.
Angel Smith
>What is human nature?
pic related.
Ethan Nelson
Nice capitalist cuck speak. No, but that's entirely beside the point. The capitalist system and the companies that operate within it are irrationally wasting the planets finite resources, which affects the entire human race.
Matthew Ramirez
>Is anyone more cucked than market fundamentalists? Your father.
When the capital meant as a proxy to trade becomes a product itself, then it can be bought, sold, and speculated against. This destroys the conservation law that makes Supply and Demand work.
Also, by having rent, where the product is never sold, patent and other monopoly protection which destroys competition, and wage, which allows the production itself to be sold in the same market, destroys the law of conservation, and the rate of exchange of conservation called the law of consistency.
Together, the loss of these laws takes away any rational basis for Capitalism to function, leaving only corruption and deception as its market force.
This is why economics tells us nothing, and so many economic theories contradict: it is the reflection of the desires of the players, not of any underlying logic.
Benjamin Watson
What is Mores law?
Austin Long
>Meeting market demands isn't rational
What is your definition of rational you Anglo garbage picker? Blowing your entire national budget on a health service that works so poorly that you literally destroy your own race trying to prop it up and STILL end up having to privatize it? Or is it spending trillions of rubles sending a dog into space while your people starve to death.

>communism rationally allocates resources! >give no phones to citizens because they have no such (((need)))
Joseph Smith
>implying phone products are twice as powerful each iteration. The models they release are literally years behind of what could be made. And electronics is just one example. The same waste of resources are visible in basically every sector. Cars are another good example. A new model is released every year for literally no reason other than to continue growth, how any of you cucks can call that a rational use of resources is beyond anyone that isn't an indoctrinated cuck.
Tyler King
>market demands You mean the demand of perpetual economic growth. And demand, by which I assume you mean consumer demand, is something incentived by society and the economic system. It's not detached thing that exists outside of the system.
Ryder Brown
>le if you criticize capitalism you're a communist meme.
Logan Lee
aspects of global capitalism are really un-utilitaristic, like the importance of media and entertainment industry. It's just that capitalism has a really good marketing and possibility to convince people that they need something even if they don't.
Jackson Foster
Who decides all this desu? You want a ministry to truth so that the dirty capitalists don't hide all the innovation? I could agree to it being waste full but Suggest a solution that works shouting 'it's a problem, its a problem' ain't gonna do a thing
David White
>Cars are another good example of bourgeois thing that you don't need under Communism
Elijah Miller
You forgot to add the part where you don't have to buy it or do you retards always forget that capitalism is based on voluntary exchange?
Kevin Lewis
>there is another economic system besides capitalism and communism >100% efficiency can exist
Alexander Gutierrez
would there be any sense in producing an outdated phone if can as well produce a better one?
you don't understand the markets but thats okay because even if you dont understand them they work FOR YOU.
Nicholas Ortiz
Yes they could, but then the company might stop being profitable, and then they won't produce incrementally innovative products anymore.
What's a better system?
Chase White
>you can't criticise capitalism!!! What are you, a communist or something?

well said, perhaps it is better to think about things in this vein. Too bad most people are too stupid to realize it, and won't accept outright bribery.

cars are built to be replaced every 5 years instead of building long-lasting cars, they build shit that is guaranteed to be useless in 5 years. it is called planned obsolescence

That's a nice iron, why don't they make irons like that any more? Mine's got to many settings and so many ways to sprinkle water, I don't even use them , I don't know how, I just wait until it gets hot and do my ironing. turn it up for jeans, turn it down for light fabrics.
Samuel Davis
>it is the reflection of the desires of the players, not of any underlying logic.
This is probably the most important point: it's all pure ideology masquerading as objective fact.
Owen King

Asher Foster
As long as a strategy is profitable, it is a good strategy, and this applies outside of the market as well. If people didn't buy those phones, they would switch to a plan that made rational sense, but the current seemingly irrational plan makes economical sense, and you can't pay your employees and shareholders with rational thought - money is used for that, and you generate that by profit, achieved by the aforementioned strategy. Not so hard, is it? I swear, commies are dumb as a rock.
Cooper Baker
Capitalism is just Darwinism with money.
When was the last time you heard a species go "Hey, stop evolving faster than me!"
I mean, other than BLM.

We should strive for perpetual economic growth on a planet with finite resources, which makes perpetual economic growth impossible by definition!
Neither was your OP, you posted a baseless statement and said it couldn't be argued against.
That's fine, you've made your opinion clear and whilst I disagree with it and think that you should be skinned alive and then dipped in a vat of acid whilst you watch your family members get raped with a super heated serrated dildo. I respect your opinion and your freedom to express it.
Jackson Nelson
I disagree. Components can be recycled - and they mostly are, or otherwise sold to later generations. After all, as long as there's a profit, the producers will continue to do their thing!
Wyatt Walker
>Components can be recycled
Inefficiently. Energy is lost, material is lost.
Gabriel Harris
So growth will stop at maximum wealth. Literally everything you own came from the free market. You would be a saxon peasant with life expectancy 30 without it
Andrew Torres
There is no incentive for companies to do that, that's why recycling is primarily government funded everywhere and private companies are subsisded. Your view is childish and naive.
Benjamin Thomas
The people let this by happening because they keep buying the fucking thing.
Josiah Wright
you don't understand what resources are. there are things we dont consaider resources yet because we dcont have the technology to use them. energy can not be destroyed or created, only transformed. therfore resources are infinite.
in 1600 oil was not resource. in 1930 uranium was not a resource. in 1950 sunlight was not a resource. you see where this is going?
William Hernandez
>tfw capitalism has utterly killed the CRT >the last factory is closed >CRT is the superior technology >They improve flat screens every years because they can keep charging for more pixel space >you're on a faggot treadmill to nowhere as all the greatest technology turns into DUST
Anyone who trusts this shit without regulation is a fucking simpleton.
Hudson Wilson
did you ever hear about the "cradle-to-cradle" concept?
Oliver Smith
>So growth will stop at maximum wealth So what does that mean?
And the rest of your comment is retarded. It's like saying "you can't criticize the antiquity because otherwise you'd be still be a tribal person living in a jungle hut!".

The law of thermodynamics you've stated is corrected, but your understanding of it and it's application to the things you've listed is retarded. Actually, all 3 examples you've just listed are finite. Oil runs out and takes millions of years to aquire. Uranium? Heard of radioactive waste? The sun? Heard of how sun's die?
Ryan Lopez
Reading assignment for (YOU). Wikipedia, because your bait is weak, and you're not worth the effort.
Reading assignment for you. The irony of all of this is that capitilist cucks like you are the ones that attack recycling in the first place because of "muh regulations".
Angel James
you definatly dont know how to physics.
of course oil is finite, but until it runs out we will have developed new technologies that utilize new resources.
Nuclear waste => Ever heard of thorium?
The sun will die => how many other stars are there ion our galaxy?
ever heard about the classification of civilisation? kardashow-scale? yeah.. you didn't.

It means economic growth will halt at the point that the economy has reached it's maximum extend on earth.
Also this isn't even a bit near. And the point is that the phone in fact does improve. 20 yrs ago there was no mobile at all. Venezuela didn't invent very much these past 50 yrs. The americans, British etc. Did

You are missing teh point. 100% efficient allocation can't exist, you can have only approaches to this point but never reach it.
Among methods of making such approaches ultimately there is only two: - capitalism where voluntary exchanges of goods and services are allowed - communism where voluntary exchanges of goods and services is prohibited Pick your poison.
Sebastian Cox
You should be careful to not say this when not anonymous, you may get killed.

Still better than socialism as demonstrated in many cases.

electrons cast a tangible image on phospherescent fiber. When the raster is created, what you see is an image with integrity.
LCD is a different technology, and it's fundamentally inferior. I won't even bother explaining why. Its advantage is it's small design, and that they can sell another TV every year if they increase the resolution by simply adding material.

Colton Jenkins
It's not rational at all. It goes overboard, It creates huge competition. But it brings THE BEST RESULT, period!
It works in cycles, due to debt. First period is when the economy is pumped up with debt, which gives all people an opportunity. Everyone can build something, start a business, realize some idea they have. But then when the bubble has reached it's peak and it pops - the economy and debt gets squeezed, and ONLY THE BEST OF THE BEST SURVIVE, the weak ones are filtered out.
You can't have that in socialistic model. It tries to control everything, but there's a lot of missed opportunity and unrealized potential. Also there's no filtering process of the weak, and it's very important!
Thomas Nelson
>Its advantage is it's small design >space is free >energy is free
Matthew White
how do we stop this madness?
Luis Nelson
>But it brings THE BEST RESULT, period! I'm not disagreeing with that. In terms of pure material achievement, it's the best system we have had, obviously.
Cooper Miller
but thats only possible with fiat currency, and if you knew about mieses, hayek and bader you'd know that we don't live in capitalism but corporatism. fiat currency + merger of state and big corporations which work towards the disfavor of small corporations and thus eradicates competition which defines capitalist markets.
Hudson Myers

OP what alternative do you suggest?
Asher Gomez
It definitely costs money to refine absolute GARBAGE until it's small and sleek.
Fuck you. CRT factories are CLOSED. Imagine a world without internet. The knowledge to even make one could be fucking lost. All in the name of exploiting a new avenue of capital.
I'm so sick of you! REEEEEEEEEE
ILL BURN EVERYTHING IT WILL BE FIRE
Colton Bailey
true capitalism instead of corporatism, digits confirm.
Christian Nelson
i agree but capitalism or corporatism, it doesn't change the result in the end, they are still allowed to destroy the planet for shekels. We have to focus on this imho
Dylan Gomez
Kill yourself thorougher with all other retards in this thread that are shilling corporate propaganda.
We live on a planet with finite resources and those resources are frivolously squandered of vain shit.
Isaac Phillips
I'm not sure, it's a difficult question.

You know, i am asking myself about this : What if the lowbirth rate in developped countries and the consciousness of our limited ressources are in correlation?
Maybe it's a primal logicial we have who force us to stop to procreate because we understand this worldwide seppuku?
Nicholas Lewis
It's not at all.
We fucking wall ourselves in and make sure our money is represented by WORK which facilitates TRADE. We do this with INTELLIGENT REGULATIONS.
God Emperor Trump. May he reign a thousand years.
Ryan Fisher
For sure it's bad for consumers but we live in an era where business competition is driving progress. It's hard to change our ways as long as it doesn't result in war
William Sullivan
Too bad for you that you didn't have money to buy CRT factory.
Daniel Lopez
No. That is maybe just a small piece of it.
Christopher Price
Then I'd have thousands of CRTs and no market. I then make the market (which I will, easily). Then I have to ship it- and that's where I'd get frozen out of the game by Sony, Walmart, etc.
Then I'd have faggots on Sup Forums telling me >Too bad for you that you didn't have money to buy a shipping business and big box retail stores across the country
Henry Richardson
I commies who "worry" about the environment, while at the same time they're using the internet on their smart phones. It's almost endearing.
Ethan James
nice strawman. Rational in economic terms means you can sell it i.e. There is demand. You changed it to mean it's perfectly efficient, no one argues this BUT you. No system is perfectly efficient we just choose a FREE system over getting buttfucked by the government
