This is why we try to have separation of church and state; He would have supported a separate party and advocated for people to be moral, and help their brothers and sisters in need. Liberals wouldn't want taxes going to the traditional marriage advocates, just as Conservatives wouldn't want taxes going to abortion. The main thing taxes should go toward is preventing other people from putting the population at gunpoint, i.e. national defense and law enforcement.

They rejected Him anyway and went from "a theocratic oligarchy" run by learned men and judges called by God, to an absolute monarchy where David and Solomon screwed up.
