Zoroastrianism was a monotheistic religion founded by some Persian dude named Zoroaster a few thousand years ago. Their religion is similar to Judaism and Christianity in a few ways, and a central theme to their worship was revering fire as holy. It was the official religion of the Persian Empires, but was almost completely exterminated by the Muslims when they invaded the region.

Unlikely, The Iranian Ayatollah is trying his best to finish it off with executions and forced conversions. I think a recent figure placed Zoroastrians still at about 200,000~ Strong though.

The other big problem they face is among the Parsis in India, they aren't breeding and their autism about complete blood and ritual purity (unlike the Iranians and the diaspora, they don't recognize converts) makes their numbers shrink drastically every year.
