You mean Iranians? Central Asia wasn't ruled by some mysterious white race, the Indo-Europeans migrated there relatively early in their migration period forming peoples such as the Scythians, Sogdians, and Tocharians. While these people were eventually superseded by Turkic populations they are hardly a lost race. The Tocharians and Sogdians still existed until around 1000 A.D.
Beyond that none of those places were really great in antiquity, Central Asia was just a bunch of horse riding savages like they were 500 years ago and the Tocharians and Sogdians were pretty much just city states based around Chinese trade. Pakistan and Afghanistan never had real empires and the center of the Persian empire was based in modern western Iran and Iraq, not Afghanistan or Pakistan.

To the ancient Turehu, the inwards and returning spiral on each cheek would have represented the summer and winter solstices and the nose represented the equinox, in the eternal, never ending journey of RA. By the way, the Maori name for the sun is RA.
