They used to have hope

Maybe if you didn't fuck up our country for shekels.

When men were goddamn MEN

lots of time & brainpower

...

I'm hyper-nationalistic, but we didn't. Honestly, most worthwhile countries have some sort of car in the pantheons of their beauty, and America by a large margin, but we don't win...not at all.

#MAGA

You never needed help fucking it up nigger.

Because we were 90% white back then so we could dream big, then the rest made them for us

...

...

>#MAGA

Lurk more

I'm white faggot.

>Implying that overly-excited bar of soap looks better than Murrican muscle.

Best engineers in the world, and no government regulations at the time to fuck over design.
The 60s were the best time for auto designs, even the crappier gas getters were decent looking.

>tfw my dream car is a Javelin and AMC is probably my favorite automobile manufacturer from that era

If you're a fan of muscle cars, then the answer is that there were no emission requirements, gas was cheap and they'd just make whatever looked nice enough to sell.

>did
... being the key word. Modern US cars are shit.

WE WUZ WHITE GOYIM

Been here for 5 fucking long and miserable years.

Remember, anti-racist is code for anti-white.

Fuck the environment, I like doing big smoky burnouts.

They didn't, Japan did in the 90s.

>Mitsu GTO, FTO
>Toyota Supra, MR2
>Honda NSX, Integra (JDM tyte, no bug eyes)
>Mazda RX-7, Eunos Cosmo
>Nissan 300ZX
etc

1964-74 America is second best though

cause we da best

...

Nice soccer mom car, fag!!!

Oddly attractive, the Daytona truly had a unique style.

youtube.com/watch?v=5RzOdMNEYjI

mmmm hmm

NO MORE FUCKING MOPAR JUNK.

>implying pic related isn't god-tier design

shit taste, nip cars are for tryhard teens and manchildren

beautiful goat nigger. good taste

Because there was once a time when America looked after all men and their well being and spoke out against phony corporatism and made it possible for all average Americans to make equal pay and didn't outsource to otuer countries. A long gone time never to return. A time when men cared about the quality of their work and looking out for their fellow man.

Who /mecum auctions/ here?

Anybody love Bonnevilles?

Get on Australia's level. Fucking yanks thinking they are the shit.

Good post lad

Best car

hey didn't
murican cars are ugly and have a terible consumption/performance rate

I always liked the 69 AMC AMX better than the Javelin.

A lot of nice looking cars here. I always liked the way BMW's looked myself, but a lot of the cars posted are beautiful.

We can't they be recreated?

That's, just, like your (shitty) opinion, plebeian

How many turbos do you have again? How many active aero spoilers? How much 4 wheel steering? How many cheesy commercials and excessively high MSRPs?

90s Japan = best auto market

Holden's got it goin' on.

>its an Aussies drive American cars yet pretend theyre Australian episode

Came here to post this

BEST car, in terms of looks.

unions pissed all over that

>90s japan
literally a plague on the automotive world rivaled only by smog era US cars

lack of Chinese slave labor competition

I watch them to see the cars but I'm too poor to ever participate.

Refer to
That body was sent to the US and re-used by Pontiac for the later GTOs like the one pictured.

I like the performance aspect of bong cars, but the styling is so so.

Hahaha. Get a load of this guy.

that thing is horrid

absolutely. I had a delta 98

Sorry leaf, just not my style. Maybe if I was weeb trash like you, but Rei a shit

Safety regulations mostly. To be sold new a car must have headlights between XXX and YYY inches above the ground, a hood at ZZZ angle, etc. Plus aerodynamics.

Compare the 1970 Challenger with the new Challenger and the new one looks hilariously fat. It basically just got taller.

Smog era US cars are cool. Fucking christ you are a pleb.

>80s mopars (turbo fwd and the 70s v8 RWD platforms)
>foxbody, SVO
>IROC, Monte Carlo, a bunch of giant comfy cruisers
>Old land yachts (Olds 98 etc etc)

this is the best designed car

And your precious Commodore became the Pontiac G8

hnnng

Blokes got jokes for cars

Yes maybe in the eyes of a 5 year old with ADHD.
I must admit American cars in general have a badass renegade look about them.

But they are but ugly looking brutes that will never have class or elagance like that of the British made and designed Jaguar E type. To mention a few.
British clasics are in a diffrent league burgers so no point in arguing.

More interested in the building desu

despite them being radically under powered typically F platform cars arent considered smog era. its mostly just post 73 till around ~80

The vehicle in this photo sold for $220,000 earlier today, btw.

Nah. I'm totally a nigger for Nissan, but that shit is nah, man.

>Pic Related the car

Smog era cars were a joke when it came to performance, and were the beginning of the end for getting a nice looking vehicle with a thumping big block under the hood.

...

How can imports even compete?

Pic related is my current daily driver. (Not actual picture but same color)
This fucking 3800 is gonna run forever.

Never really liked pontiacs after 4th gen desu

Such a shame. Couldn't just working the internals to reduce emissions allow new production? Or does the body of the vehicle also restrict it totally like you said?

>e type
literally and unironically the ugliest car ever made. looks like a shoe, or if you flip it upside down it looks like a cock. faggy uk. this is how its done

>NIGGERS ITT

As an American I regretfully have to give the title to the English

youtube.com/watch?v=QQh56geU0X8

why did they only do so for about a decade?

Most of them from the 90's forward were shit. Only exceptions was the Firebird/TA, G8, and Bonneville.

>nissan
bruh

Are you even supposed to use the fucking mirrors or are they for decoration?

I live in detroit. No way you can drive that anywhere here because of our potholes that are as big as your prolapsed anus after getting fistfucked by the 13 gigga niggas you let drive that nigwagon

Everything does. Book of vehicle regulations would make the bible look like a child's book.

>yfw it's a replica

These cars just look like giant penis with wheels to me.

>ford will never make a new falcon muscle car
>and even if they did it wouldn't be for worldwide markets

the old "jaguar has sex with a beemer"

That also looks like a shoe m8. I belive it's called AREODYNAMICS

>1971 Cuda
Best looking car ever made right there.

>I live in detroit.
My condolences. Seriously though get the fuck out.

What the fuck is that, a Yugo? You'll never know what it's like to put your foot to the wood on a big block Chevelle.

Kek

If you're forcing me to pick from sportscars though; this one's pretty nice

...

All jokes aside, you guys are forgetting the best looking car to ever be produced.

What's your philosophy on buying American manufactured goods? Would you buy Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, even if it's owned by FIAT, or is it more of an issue of where they're produced?

Right now the only pure American brands are Ford, Chevy, Lincoln, Buick, GMC, and Cadillac.

Here, have a WD21. I do cum my britches when I see an old school LC roll past. Toyota did do some cool things sometimes.

Not gonna lie, I love American cars. Bong cars come close, but can't stand most other Euro cars. I hope Trump brings back American car manufacturing to what it was before

Proudly manufactured by Minecraft Motors

I bet your car doesn't only stop on a dime, it goes back to pick it up.

That's when the first 3rd gen F-body started to come out, though. Even if we skip those, there are lots of cool late 70s Amerishitboxes that are criminally underrated.

Yeah but it's often easy to fix

>Take hated '73 Mustang
>Replace engine with 460 from junkyard lincoln
>heads ???????????????????????
>500 hp profit!

Some cars have managed to continue production almost untouched for 50+ years (externally at least) so it may not technically be impossible. It'd be a real clusterfuck to get done though.

Old cars don't ever even come close to passing crash test regulations (exception: old volvos)
