I'm not passable, but I'm not bitter either - I think that bioprinting, genetic engineering and stem cells will make me a passable woman.
What happened was that I realized that I needed to construct a real female identity, and when I did that by looking objectively at my options as a hypothetical woman, I realized that only traditional society would allow me to reach my full potential and enjoy it.
I reasoned that if I was really going to be an honorable, authentic person and prove the bigots wrong, I had to stick to my beliefs even though they rejected me - because those beliefs were right. Even if I got lynched, I could die knowing I did the right thing.
If I never become a woman and get a man, my life was pointless anyway. That's no reason to screw up everything for everyone else.

Certain species of fish change sex in response to social signals. The desire to have the body of the opposite sex isn't a delusion - how can a desire be a delusion? And brain scans have shown that transsexuals have BSTc's which have the neuron density of the sex they espouse - and the BSTc doesn't sexually differentiate until early adulthood.
So, since the female BSTc is defined by a lower neuron density, we could suggest that MtF transsexuality could be treated by injecting neural stem cells into the BSTc. I'm certainly not signing up for that medical experiment.
