Italy is in third place for being the joke of Europe, after Greece and France.

My parents are from Northern Italy and I spent a lot of time there growing up. The food, clothing and women are all superb. I love the architecture of the cities and the culture as well.

The only thing that annoys me about Italy is the corruption and how inefficient their systems are. I think this is a thing with Romance cultures though, apart from France they all act in a silly way, look at Portugal, Spain and South/Central America they are silly too.

Italian Americans are nothing like those found in Italy.

The majority of Italian Americans came from Calabria and Sicily (Southern Italy) which was poor as fuck back when they were all emigrating, it is still poor today. It doesn't really reflect on the rest of Shitaly.

IMO it would be like saying Detroit is representative of all of America.

My great great great great grandparents immigrated from Como, Italy.

Our land is beautiful. We can be at the same time, the best and the worst people you can encounter, excelling at shitting ourselves with our 'only me and my family at best matters' attitude that result in a very low civic sense, generating a lot of problems for the country namely unemployment and corruption.

We still have great food, cars, guns and bitches tho.

Holy shit burger. If it's this far down the line then you're just American. 3rd generation or gtfo. Mine came mostly from Emilia-Romagna and Veneto (3rd gen) and one grandparent from Portugal (2nd gen).

I should add that (South) Brazil along with Argentina and Uruguay got mostly people from the north and center compared to USA where the immigration was 85%+ southern.

I named our first son Leonardo for the greatest polymath that ever lived. Although I really admire Lionhard Euler too.
