Let's have a Climate Change thread!

Is it real? Is it fake? Are you a moron for not believing it? Are you falling for the jew by believing it? I want to hear what y'all think!

are you off your meds you sperging faggot

It's exaggerated by (((agenda))) pushers but to ignore that the harm we're doing isn't causing actual differences on environments is ignorant

>manmade climate change
no

There is way more data supporting Climate Change than disputing it -

What's alarming isn't the level of ignorance people have - it's the fact that people are willing to risk their future by calling it fake

Putting a compulsive gambler in charge of your life savings

Baka

I think it's real but more natural than man made. The earth has been much hotter, and the seas have been higher as well. Vice Versa.

I live in Missouri and for the past 5 or 6 years it doesn't really snow at all in the winter. It rains more. (60 in. Of rainfall in 2015. That's the same amount Miami gets.) the climate here is turning more subtropical.

It's real you fucking moron--climate change denialism for some stupid reason acquired a partisan polarity in the US, and so every Republican needs to denounce it as a signalling mechanism. But make no mistake--denying climate change is a function of tribal affiliations, not science.

Climate change is real (look at China's pollution) but it's not as catastrophic as libtards make it seem, and we are already moving towards the alternative energy sources, so it's pretty much going to be solved soon, and anything after that is not human-caused anyway so it's politically speaking a non-issue.

Here's a political issue:

>Alternative energy sources are on the rise
>Many analyses indicate there is a surge in capacity for green energy based on market demand, emerging technologies and public support
>Do you therefore fund research into these technologies? Do you do it even when fossil fuel lobbyists don't want you to?

There's pretty much a consensus that the earth is getting warmer and causing glaciers and the ice caps to melt and sea levels to rise, accompanied by more extreme weather and drought. The fact that this rise has coincided with and happened exponentially faster since the Industrial Revolution began than at any other point in world history leads to only one logical conclusion. The true question is "what are the geopolitical ramifications as a result of this change?"

instead of putting fucking words in my mouth you uppity nigger how about you read what I said. That's assuming you can read and you're not dictating what you wanted to say to your parole officer. I didn't even include my opinion in the question. I wanted to hear what you fuckers think

Neither side is completely right nor completely wrong, but the skeptics don't fabricate their data and conclusions from thin air as often and are offering cheaper energy so I back them

A true Fascist and National Socialist is respectful of Nature, for nature has given us these gifts. We must grow and prosper, but not kill the world doing it!

I think that climate change is real.

But the solutions the left proposes are just flipping retarded.

We need nuclear fission and fusion NOW.

It's a tax grab // enforcing of a global system gone wrong. Several large think tanks tried to deamonize the effects of our solar cycles in a desperate attempt to keep themselves in power.

It's also a stranglehold on humanities psyche. Think about it - Your very breath is contributing to Climate Change. You should give your own life up you horrible piece of earth hating shit. Forget any babies, DO YOU EVEN KNOW WHAT THEIR CO2 FOOTPRINT IS

Fucking, cancer.

>the planet is always going to be the same no matter what we do
NO

Pollution =/= Climate Change.

Good point--caught me senpai. This only shows how bad the partisanship/tribalism has gotten. I assumed since you were questioning it, you took a position that it wasn't real.

The basic idea is that human industrial activity like burning fossil fuels has put more and more stuff in the air (carbon dioxide, methane) that absorbs and reflects sun energy. In the same way that greenhouses heat up by reflecting part of incoming sun back inside the structure, the Earth's total climate system is heating up. Lots of empirical evidence from many sources and statistical methods back up this basic idea.

>I want to hear what y'all think!

Whether you agree with it or not, you should be astronomically pissed at the way the government tries to "solve" it.

Only a leaf could react this stupidly

There are plenty of reasons to go renewalable that dont have anything to do with climate change

People always talk about whether climate change is real or not.

Nobody is willing to address the issue that it may be too late for us to have any hope of fixing it.

They're willing to ruin our economy over a hunch that we can fix things. Fuck those hubris-having climate change nazis.

No harm done. My aim was to bring together people who do have different opinions, so that they could bounce their theories and ideas off one another, so that in some way we might all learn something new

Did I fucking say it isn't a good idea?

which makes more sense to you OP?

>define your own narrative
>portray other side as absurd
>portray your side as sensible

I do believe there is a term for this
