2016 election voting concerns

Hey guys, so- tldr, I'm a closeted Trump voter. But I literally only voted for him to avoid a third world war. I'm friends with all sorts of people, including very SJW types. And all of them insinuate that if you voted for Trump, you HAVE to be a racist, or a sexist, or a homophobe (actually, one of my best friends, and dorm mate- is homosexual and HEAVILY sjw left [were talking socialist/communist here] and I cant tell him anything about my choice, because he wouldn't understand).

I understand that there are people who voted for him that are like that, but not all were. Some people thought even though he was terrible it was better than a guranted nuclear war, or theres the angry sanders voters, etc..

My concern is, with the tensions rising- is there any way for the SJW folk to get their hands on voting records? See who voted for who? Release those records into the public atmosphere so they can know who the closeted trump voters are and basically ruin their lives? (Like, the types who screenshot simple jokes and get people fired, those types).

Voting is anonymous, they take your Id to make sure you can legally vote, but your vote isn't tied to your name.

Not necessarily. There are other things I like to do than listen to their perspectives. We hang out together, go places, do things friends do.

Trump is too intelligent to do that. Once he realizes that we can't just destroy our relations with China he'll slow his roll.

Did you sign. Your name to a paper ballot? No? Keep your mouth shut about things you don't want people to know, and no one will know. No one is going to sift through ~200 mil votes, try to match the ballot to a randomly generated number tied to your voter id then post it to the internet, because no one gives a fuck. Most people if asked would tell you who they voted for.

I don't think it's possible to make them public, and I doubt the majority of people would take the time to check. Even if they found out you voted for Trump, so what? Even if it costs you a few acquaintances (they wouldn't be friends), it wouldn't ruin your life. A few of my friends and relatives are vehemently anti Trump as well. They'd be pissed to know I voted for him. There's nothing wrong with keeping friends around who share a different perspective, but if they tell you to fuck off over something like who you voted for then they're not really worth having around.

For the general election? No. Votes are made anonymously with no voting name attached to them. Because of this, most states have registry with your name that is checked off when you show up to vote. The registry only shows you are registered, not who you voted for.
