Why? Why did the Chinese kowtow to the barbarians for 300 years?
Answer: Because of the alternative. Because Chinese people are deathly afraid of shit hitting the fan, because every single time shit hits the fan in the Middle Kingdom, tens of millions of Chinese people die of slaughter or hunger. Therefore, the Chinese people are inherently willing to tolerate bullshit from their authoritarian government in order to stave off the inevitable disaster that is the Chinese dynastic change.

That's because in Asia daughters literally 'join' their husband's extended families and are a dead economic loss to their parents' families. My Employer is a wealthy Chinese businessman who now has Australian citizenship although he lives in China and I haven't seen him in like a year. His son handles most of the business with me but even his son is absent from the business, lives in the city and I see him maybe four times a year.
I know for a fact that the business is closing in November and I have a lot of accrued annual and long service leave payments to which I'll be entitled.
Does my employer having Australian citizenship and our government having full access to his tax records and accounts etc mean that it will ensure there won't be any hassles getting my owed payments?
I really don't want to end up having to go through the process of lodging and FEG claim to get my payments.
