This is my story. I had very leftist ideals until I went to a university and realized none of them care about Americans or the poor or the future of the country. They all care about skin color, race, trannies and other pointless shit.

I came from an area of the states that saw probably the worst of illegal immigration anywhere in the country and people dismissed it like I was racist. I saw entire communities turned into dog shit over 5-10 years because illegals just poured into the country like an unstoppable force. I can't tell you how many times a roving gang of hispanics stopped in the street and threatened me because I was a 6'0 white guy walking down the street.

But the left in general has been getting so insane. And nobody from the left is calling them out. Or at least not enough. They're okay with talk of genocide. They sincerely believe that human rights exist in some sort of equation of privileges, and that they can subtract privilege from one person and add it to another, and have it come out equal. But equality just is or isn't, there's no inbetween.

So over time I've just been getting more and more opposed to them.

Come the wikileaks emails, and we see that everybody in a position of power in the left is just a user who doesn't even believe in this shit. And I had figured that they were a minority, and that these were mostly just sincere retards. But no. It's a cesspool of corruption now.

So I've finally reached peace with the final solution. I've accepted that we have fundamentally irreconcilable beliefs. We can never coexist happily. If they want to tear down free speech, equality under the law, and drag us back into the past, then I hope it comes to civil war.

It's the only way we can finish this debate at this point.

And if it does come to civil war, it's a free win for us. We have the military on our side. We have the most gun owners and ex-servicemen.

Yes, my opinion's on jazz have changed. I used to be the only white guy in the band playing giant steps, beautiful love, and other classics. Musicians had a deep respect for me and regarded me as very skilled (though i don't think i am this way)

I parted with jazz, discovered Bach, Counterpoint, and the fugue. It all culminated with a very much old school very well known jazz new yorker Jewish musician relling me i could learn nothing from Bach. For whatever reason his comments inspired a need to prove him wrong. Since I have discovered many different things about musical composition, and i simply feel that these aesthetics resonate with me on a primal level. That's interesting, I've definitely seen a bit of that attitude that old musician you mentioned had. Old jazz musicians often have interesting things to say about music, with not all of it making much sense. But I'm surprised he was against Bach, most jazz musicians I've met speak really highly of learning harmony and counterpoint from Bach chorales and all of that.

What I was more getting at it whether or not you think jazz is objectively terrible music now. This is an attitude I've seen a lot from people who are highly invested into classical music and lean conservative, but I'm curious what you think about that because you must have spent a great deal of your life getting well acquainted with jazz.
