yes i would of strongly agreed before Donald trump. We are noticing a distinct decline, but we lack the closing enemy's that roman empire had to deal with. But we still have the infrastructure and capabilities of greatness. Rome was very much dependent on war for their economy and eventually the well of easy enemies ran dry. But with donald trump recognizing we have a problem helps greatly

I am just worried that if Trump fails, we will go downhill real quick.

Lack of war wasn't the cause for the fall of Rome. Romans lost hope in the country, salves replaced many farmers, Germanic peoples infiltrated the nation, Christianity caused much religious turmoil. All of these are more valid reasons for its fall.

EVERY empire falls eventually, as history proves. Think there's a formula somewhere. America is nearing the end of her lifetime.

Well they just elected an orange retarded clown so ya probably.

the usa is following the collapse of the western roman empire to a fucking t

it would be comical if it wasn't so saddening

Then don't be a pussy faggit and spread the word to let him succeed? Fear of failure is literally the most liberal thing there is. Fucking weak and nauseating.

It makes me cringe so badly when people actually think Presidents control the economy.

At the rate it is going it won't last long. Trump needs to fundamentally reconstruct the entire nation if it is to survive. Either way the America of today will not last. The real question is what will take it's place
A multicultural socialist shithole like Brazil or a Nazi Empire.

well yeah you're right, but if you listen to historians it's a huge variety of contradicting ideas. I like to include all of them.

People like your pic related is what's causing the downfall. I do not fear anything. It is a problem that needs to be addressed before it's too late.

would of....

Now the Republic became Empire and Trump is the reincarnation of Ceasar.

Yeah sure, why not.

>Secretly hoping Maryland and Virginia secede together to form Sexy Marginia
>Openly hoping NYC becomes a city-state and walls itself off from the rest of the world

The Roman Republic was killed by Caesar. The Roman Empire died over time because of bad Caesars.

It was bound to fall, however I feel like the reason why we haven't seen another Roman Empire is that we don't really have a solution for its fall.
Immigration, domestic policy, religion, province autonomy, all of these still cause conflict to nation to this day.
And the thing is we don't really have a longterm solution, the issues that brought Rome down are bringing the west down today.
We need to find an answer before foreign nations absolve our lands and cultures.

Trump is equivalent of Aurelian.

He saved the empire from certain collapse, but in the long run only delayed the inevitable.

Read your classics, he's Crassus-lite at best.

Well, we are certainly on the decline. How gradual (or not) that is going to be remains to be seen. But do we have all of the signs?

>debt continuing to increase at an unsustainable rate
>economy slowing to a trickle of growth
>rent-seeking everywhere
>destruction of fundamental societal values, family, and child-rearing
>lack of national cohesion and identity, emphasis on other identifiers
>influx of foreigners
>welfare state

It's going to be a bit of a mess. I'm just starting out my adult life too, kind of sucks.

A multicultural hell hole full of degenerate faggots and debased coin?

Yup

The 2 cant really be compared because, the Roman Empire was an actual empire and Usa is just a country and never was an ''empire''

We are a very young country. We have just started.

The Great American Empire is yet to come.

Degeneracy, barbarians entering and a fiat currency losing it's value

sounds about right

god please help DJT.

very good analogy user.

It won't if you bump this thread to deport spics on a massive scale.
Last three threads got over 300 posts each.
We're doing God's work.

You can consider USA an empire. Just like Rome back then. We currently control what happens in the world like Rome did.

An empire lasts approximately 250 years.
Greenland sharks live for centuries.

I will not allow the USA to collapse without China and Canada coming down with us.

Yes. And I wouldnt have it any other way. Rome will be remembered for as long as humans breathe, as will America.

Being the best comes at a price in the long run. We wont be around to see the collapse though sans WW3.

Roman Republic >>> Roman Empire

Also, you have to remember that it's Eastern half survived for 1000 years after the fall of the Western part, so it wasn't because of Christianity. WRE got fucked mostly because of Germanic mass immigration caused by the Huns.

rome got divided east and west

usa will be divided right and left

WRE got fucked after the split because most money was in africa/asia minor.

What has trump done for this nation other than preach platitudes and hype up a future he doesn't go in depth about how to attain?

If you didn't notice, the divide of this country is our greatest undoing and will be our downfall. You can believe that invaders will end us if you want but I would say that we will self destruct before that happens in the next decade.

Our civilization has already taken its mortal wound, its in the process of staggering to its death now. Because were isolated from legitimate foreign threats (hispanics are a problem, yes, but they assimilate far more readily than Islam) we might take quite a long time to keel over. Or maybe it happens tomorrow. But its happening and there isnt much we can do to reverse the process now

One possible "out" is a technological breakthrough in gene-editing or AI, no guarantees they actually help us more than they hurt us but there's at least a chance

America is around 240 - 243 years old as of now so we definitely don't have much longer even if we don't refer to ourselves as an empire. People already say this country isn't worth defending and many already want our new leader to fail for the sake of the selfish ideology which they blindly follow. If progressive multiculturalism isn't the death of us,then our apathy will be.

The USA will "survive". We just won't be the clear cut #1 forever, you know. Although it's not like China is in great shape itself.

The current contenders for imminent collapse are Europe as a whole, Japan, Britain, and America. I haven't heard much about Canada and china doesn't mention much either.

>Rome lost hope in their country
>Half of America has lost hope in their country
>Slaves replaced farmers
>Cheap labor from foreign countries has replaced American workers.
>Germanic infiltrated the nation
>Illegals have infiltrated our nation.
>Christianity caused much religious turmoil
>Islam is now causing religious turmoil.

No, you're still in the Republic stage. Rome considered itself the Mediterranean's policeman in its republican days, but did little to administer the territories under its hegemony. Only when all order gradually broke down that Rome turned into the Empire.

The "people" will survive, not the union itself. All that they will be left with is the hollow husk of the nation they sat back and watched rot from the inside.

Meh, Japan will crawl along, it'll suffer but I doubt it has any chance of violently collapsing. Its economy is shrinking, yes, but high productivity can still make up for the deficit in births that it has.

Christianity gave unity and legitimacy to the pagan virtues.
It was the Germans who came in and started basterdizing religions. The whole reason they came in was because they wanted to do jobs the romans didn't want to do.

Fair point but I've heard rumors that part of the reason that japan has stayed afloat is because the Yakuza are in charge. What's your opinion on that?

...

The Germans came in because of a deficit in rural workers and settlers that the Romans desperately needed to replace. Rome already had a low birthrat and a bachelor's tax by the time of the Emperor Augustus, and it only survived by sucking the countryside and the cities in its empire dry.

I dunno. Criminal organizations have a funny tendency to be somewhat nationalistic, and the Yakuza don't seem to be keen on shitting where they sleep, so it could be worse. Still, the opennes with which they operate in Japan is unsettling.

No, post WW2 is the empire stage. The Monroe Doctrine is an articulation of our Republic days.

But Rome still exists. Are you saying the US will contract back to the size of its original colonies and Mexico/Native Americans will retake their rightful territory?

>Rome was very much dependent on war for their economy
>Implying america is not is the same circumstances.

Like Rome, you will be invaded by barbarians
You're going down white boyz.

Et tu, America?

>But Rome still exists.
So does Paris, but no one speaks French anymore and don't even count them as a serious player in international affairs.

>rightful
