Ask a professional Ski-Bum Anything

Hi Sup Forums, I work as a tree planter all summer and a ski patroller all winter.

It's a simple life, but I make enough money to do everything I want to do.

This isn't reddit.

Damn beard swag. Cool life style

What do you do as a ski patroller?

I ski all day looking for people who are injured/need help and respond to any calls I get.

Nothing crazy has happened yet this year but I've had to dig people out of treewells before, which is pretty scary.

sounds comfy af

>do everything I want to do.
does that include getting married and having kids?

Tell me more about being a tree planter.

How is it to be the prime minister of cucknadia?

Yep, eventually. I'm only 24 years old right now so that will be a couple years down the road.

My girlfriend works as a bartender in town which makes it easy.

It's piece-work so you get paid for how fast you work.I'm been doing this for a couple yars now so I can make 40-50k in a five month planting season.

it's tough work, the mozzies can sometimes be bad but the people you work with are always total bros who like having a good time.

When are you going to run for PM and follow in Trudeau's footsteps?

>.I'm been doing this for a couple yars now
You are definitely Canadian, you are so Canadian you are pissing syrup and shitting hockey pucks.

That looks like a pretty comfy place.

>Betas really hate hard work.
This guy sounds like he got his asshole ripped out. I have a bug phobia and I don't even hate the outdoors as much as he says he does.

how can one become a tree planter in canada?

which province?

You simply apply online

tree-planter.com/category/companies/

You can do it in any province but I'd recommend BC or Alberta.

Tree-planting became a hip thing to do a couple years back so you often do get a city slicker(like that vice reporter) who simply cannot deal with the outdoors

Well that's a good city proof job. How many trees do you plant a day? It says the typical one is 2500 for about 85 cents a tree.

Is your genetic dead end or do you plan to have a family someday?

interesting, thanks canadabro

I have a GF and play on raising a professional snowboarder/total lege

What advice would you give a beginner snow boarder?

I live in the south and we only get a week or 2 to enjoy snow so I have the make the most out of a week.

Do they higher foreigners? Can an American go there and work?

This.

Sage

I don't think American's can do it but Countries with a working holiday visa agreement with Canada can. (Australia, Czech Republic, New Zealand, etc)

>nearly impossible to detect
My guess would be around trees, but what do I know about skiing

Lots of drugs, eh?

I smoke weed, and drink a lot of coffee, that's about it.

screw off fucking toothpaste

Sounds good. I would like a forestry related job where I could go hiking every other day.
