Probably around 1.1 or 1.2. My hope is that this problem will be solved by evolution. That means that since 1963 most of the people who reproduced were people who wanted to reproduce. And there is a chance that some part of their willingness to reproduce was due to genetics. People who do not have this gene will be weeded out over time. But it's clear that there are other factors heavily involved. And even if there is an evolutionary process it might be too slow. I know several people in my surrounding who don't want to have kids at all. Just because they "don't like children" or want to "have their freedom".

I've been thinking about this too. Even if we get rid of the non-whites (where there's a will there's a way) we're still left with the problem of low birthrates. We can probably somewhat increase birthrates through political actions (encouraging procreation, traditional family and offering financial incentives). Even if that doesn't completely do the trick, moderate population decline probably isn't that bad. Sure, pensions might need to be cut, but automation might be enough to help compensate for the aging population. Last but not least, idk if there's going to be a WW3, but if it does happen, birthrates usually skyrocket after that
