You can save money though, for the first 3 or 4 months you don't need to go to the gym. Buy some dumbells and build up some baseline strength at home and learn the proper form. Even when you start going to the gym and pick up a barbell, just use an empty bar for a couple of weeks to get the form. After that you'll start adding the weight each week and you'll feel like a beast, your confidence will rocket and you'll look forward to going
